Prompt: "I DONNO! BUT ALL I KNOW IS THAT SORA GOT STUCK IN HER HAIR! XD"
Boring.
Boring. Boring. Boring.
Those were the only thoughts on Rapunzel's mind at the moment- a young girl of twelve and well on her way to becoming a woman.
And she had run out of paint.
Boring. Boring. Boring. Boring.
Screaming was nearly on the agenda.
“Rapunzel! Let down your hair!” Rapunzel jumped at the sound, excitement blossoming through her. What had Mother brought home today? She was so excited, however, that she didn't pause to think of how the voice was different from the usual grainy, calm singing voice that Gothel had. Instead, it was noticeably younger. And male. But on habit, down her hair went. “Owe! My eye!”
Rapunzel didn't pause to consider the shout of pain, either. Instead, she simply waited for her hair to be tugged twice and up Mother Gothel came!
Only it wasn't Mother Gothel.
A violent shriek tore through the air, and the boy at her window recoiled sharply. “Out!” the girl cried, rushing forward to push the young man out into the open air. When he was half falling from the tower he took hold of a few strands, and-
The two let loose twin shrieks of horror as the stranger caught himself in Rapunzel's hair and smashed to the floor. A heavy groan filled the room, then silence followed. Neither moved for a bit.
Rapunzel stared. She openly stared for this boy was just a bit older than her with hair almost as unusual as her own with the way it defied gravity. And his clothes! They were atrocious! How could his mother allow him to wander around with so many gaudy buckles and... and... What were those things? They looked as if they could be little tiny buttons! But how would one button them all up? And how would they stay together? In fact, they looked a bit like teeth-
“I'm Sora!” The girl blinked, marveling at how strange a name this boy seemed to have.
“Rapunzel.”
“That's a weird name.”
She bristled. “Not as weird as 'Sora!'”
“Right...” The boy then chose that moment to tug at her hair in an attempt to break free. “Well,” he began, and a burst of light grew from his palm and suddenly a weapon was there and Rapunzel was freaking out and the boy kept saying, “I'm just gonna cut my way out of-”
“No!” the girl screamed, grabbing the sword-like thing from the boy's hand and holding it beyond his reach. “Don't you dare cut my hair!” He stared.
And stared.
And stared.
And Rapunzel was getting a little nervous for a while before he spoke. “You just took my Keyblade.”
“Well, yeah-”
“Are you a princess?”
She screwed her face up in confusion. “No.”
“Ah.” Sora blinked, looked around, then seemed to attempt to evaluate his predicament. “Well, I'm in a pretty hairy situation, aren't I?”
Rapunzel rolled her eyes. “Right.”
“Yeah. So...” Taking a deep breath, the boy fixed the girl with a sheepish look. “If I promise not to cut your hair can I have my Keyblade back?
Rapunzel fixed him with a look of her own. One that read, “I really shouldn't trust you, should I?”
But he was tangled in her hair and, by extension, held it hostage. Entertaining the thought of hog-tying the boy the a chair, Rapunzel paused. “Fine,” she answered after a bit, handing over the weapon. It was a lot lighter than she imagined it to be, what with all the metal and how big it was. But it proved to be as easy to return as it was to take it, and was not nearly as sharp as it looked. There was a flash of light, then, and the boy stood up from the pile of hair.
“Well, it's been a pleasure!” he bade her, rushing to the windowsill as if to jump. Next he chose to stop with one foot on the frame, hands braced to leap, and turned to her. “Oh- and I don't recommend going outside for a while. This forest's almost completely filled with Heartless.” He turned away, ignoring the young girl's confused look, and jumped from the window.
Rapunzel shrieked and dove after him, only to tear her fingers from the sill as a great bird swept by and snatched Sora from the very air! It was a very peculiar bird, its wings and body made of brightly colored blocks instead of feathers and sinew. It didn't occur to her until she saw this great bird that the boy might have taken her hair if she had not taken his blade!
It was that day that she swore to check, with her eyes, whoever called for her to let down her hair.
