I don't know if it's because I had to get up butt-ass early, or if it's allergies, or my car, or the paper I've ignored for two weeks, but I have a stabbing pain right behind my left eyeball, centered in my sinus cavities both above and below it. Ugh. I'd take the Benedryll hiding in my purse, but I'm already tired, and I have to drive a lot today, so it's perhaps not the wisest call of action.
Still, I feel productive today, I have one problem child interviewing next week. Now to get to problem children 2, 3, and 4.
The new job is sort of interesting...because I'm sort of making it up as I go along. There's never been a hiring manager here, only one HR person doing everything, so I'm trying to take the best of what she used to do, and implement some new procedures. The first of which is making the hiring leads on each Client Services team review their own resumes. This way, if they want to review some candidates, they can do it on their time and in their leisure. And I don't have to clog their email box. Now, I just need to get them to look in the damn database once in a while instead of saying, "where are all the resumes?"
I'll edumuhcate them eventually.
Tonight I seriously want to crash. I want to go home, crawl into bed, watch football, (if it's on), and go to sleep. Tomorrow, I'll deal with Umlaut and her lingering problems. I just need car back to Patric by tomorrow and my car fixed by Sunday to go to a bridal shower in Upland. Oh the throbbing behind my eye.
