After briefly mentioning an email I'd written earlier in the day, the spouse looked at me with an amused, loving smile and said,

"That's my wife. Give her a compliment, and two weeks later she's asking you for an analysis of it. I've seen that behavior since college."

Slightly embarrassed, warm fuzzy feeling.
Ah, well. At least he finds it an amusing quirk, not an annoying one.
