Wilson's a jerk too?
"Wilson... he's a really good guy. And he really likes you."
"Wilson's a jerk too. He's been divorced three times. He slept with a dying patient. Sure, he looks like a boy scout, but then..."
I knew I was forgetting something about The Down Low that I wanted to write about.
Wilson, a really good guy or a jerk dressed like a boy scout? I'm sure House said the first statement just to sleep with Nora, or whatever her name is, and the second one just to prevent Wilson from sleeping with her more than actually meaning them, even if he does actually think these things.
Predictably enough, I'm more inclined to the first one, but there sure is something about the second statement, even if House didn't really make a good case, how does being divorced three times (and sleeping with a patient) makes you a jerk? If House wanted to make his case he should have told Nora that Wilson cheated on two of his wives, now that is more like a convincing argument :P
I wouldn't blame wives number one and two (the ones Wilson cheated on) for considering Wilson a jerk (although it doesn't seem like they do, at least not Bonnie, right?), but everyone makes a few big screw-ups in their lives, don't think that makes a person a jerk, otherwise about everyone's a jerk. It's more a chronical thing, which is why House fits the profile so well, he works every day at it lol!
But yeah, like we all already know, Wilson is not every bit of a boy scout he looks like, he has this dark side that has become more visible than ever this season and yet I still think he's a really good guy, somehow he manages to combine being a caring and huggable teddy bear and being a severely screwed up and sometimes creepy dude all in one person, I guess it's what makes him fascinating.
So what do you guys think? Do you consider Wilson in the category of 'jerk' just like House? Or is he too much of a goody two shoes for that?
