Eduard woke up feeling like a freight train was running a constant path through his head. Memories of the night before were hazy and fragmentary at best, but slowly beginning to come back to him the more he awoke. He shuffled out of the blankets in an unfamiliar room, and groggily grabbed his glasses from the nightstand, noticing that Toris and who he could only assume to be Feliks were still asleep on the adjacent bunk. When Eduard stood up, he noticed that he had somehow in the night managed to change into the one pair of shorts that he'd bought before the trip ( ... )

"Nope, just teaching Tino how to Pilot. Is everything alright with you? Do I have to toss him overboard?" Berwald asked, a Happy Tino in his lap.

"What happens if I see a whale on the sonar? What do I do if that happens?" He asked, loosening his grip on the wheel a little. He only vaguely knew how to steer something. In about two years Berwald was going to have to teach the little Finn how to drive a car.

"I do believe that you shouldn't have to deviate from your course much if any at all, Tino. The whale should be able to judge the proximity of the boat and move in plenty of time." Eduard chimed in before taking a bite of his danish. Then he recalled Berwald's question and suddenly wasn't sure whether or not his face was warm from the coffee or if he was blushing.

"Ummm. Everything is alright...I think. Neither of you would happen to have seen my shirt laying around, have you? Last night was...well...enlightening to say the very least."

"If you left it on a deck somewhere, it's probably floating out to see at this point. We have a good headwind out there. And Tino, just watch the sonar. If the big blip doesn't move out of your way, steer around it. You're not going to crash Askling." Berwald said sipping his coffee as Tino tried (and failed) to relax into driving.

"Tino, relax. This is easy and you're doing just fine." Berwald rubbed Tino's back to try and relax him.

"If you need a spare shirt Eduard, I packed a lot of clothes for Tino and I in our cabin. You can let yourself in and borrow one." Berwald added as he enjoyed a nice leisurely morning out at sea.

"I'm trying." He'd never driven anything before so he released the wheel for a minute, sighed out a breath and relaxed his body before taking up the wheel again. Berwald was right, he wasn't going to hit a whale! That was silly wasn't it?

"Glad to know the big bad wolf didn't gobble you up." Tino chortled to Eduard.

"Mida?!" Eduard nearly did a caffeinated spit-take at Tino's question. For all he knew it was probably meant in innocent jest, but he wasn't sure just who may have heard or seen any of what went on. "I guess you could say that, in a way."

Berwald chuckled He wasn't going to tell Eduard he accidentally butt dialed Tino in the middle of a make-out session. It would embarrass him.

"We'll be at our destination in about 15 minutes if you want to rouse the sleepy heads out of bunks below Eduard. Fishing will start when we get there. If you want to catch 'em, you gotta be there early in the day. I'm sure they'll all want showers, coffee and breakfast before we start."

"I mean nothing by it. I'm just glad you survived the night." He chortled. He wasn't scratched up or bloody, obviously all went well and he was genuinely glad for it.

"Oh Matt is going to love this. I'm gonna catch something huge." He smirked, so ready to be pulling up fish. He missed fishing. Hadn't done it since last summer. And if he recalled he was rather lucky with it.

"Oh. Yeah. Sorry about that." Eduard sheepishly looked down into his coffee cup to watch the swirls of the dark brown liquid. "Been apologizing a lot already this trip. At least you two seem to have finally had a good night."

At the mention of fishing, the bashful Estonian's face perked up a bit and he managed to regain a bit of his composure. "I suppose we should be waking them up now. You're right. Toris and Feliks were still asleep when I left. I'll just text Gilbert and wake him up. He's still in our bed too and should be able to wake the two of them up on his way out."

Berwald registered the "our bed" in his head and just raised an eyebrow to indicate a little shock. Not only at the speed of the relationship but how in the HELL did Eduard and Gilbert *FIT* in a single wide berth? Those were NARROW. Did they sleep on TOP of each other to fit?

"Can you also knock on Matthew and Lars' door and Mads and Siguard. I know they all want to fish too. Mads would never forgive us if we let him sleep late and miss the best fish."

Tino chortled. "He'd use YOU as bait Berwald. The route is going to end in a few minutes. How do I stop?" He asked cheerfully, now finally relaxed about driving. This was pretty fun! Maybe he'd have to do this again at some point (so long as no one would nark and tell anyone that Tino was driving) but he was most excited about fishing. Though, he did feel pretty good that, depending on the fish, he may not have to cook it! If it was going to be beer battered, he'd deep fry it, but he knew that if it was a 'grilling' fish that there would be no convincing the testosterone powered Dane to hand over the rights to the grill. His manhood would allow no such thing!

Eduard noticed the look on Berwald's face and did a mental recap at what he might have said to warrant such a look of surprise. Of course, with what he said being naught more than a mindless verbal slip, it really had no idea what had gone wrong. He simply averted his friend's questioning eyes to pull out his cell phone. That was the one thing he'd had the mind to move over to his shorts pocket when changing the night before.

"I called Ti...?" Eduard muttered to himself as navigated through his phone to his contact list. He never remembered calling Tino, but somehow there it was in his phone's history. Shaking it off, he called Gilbert's phone, hoping the lazy albino would pick up as he wasn't sure he had the energy to trek all the way back down to the room until he'd finished possibly another cup of coffee.

"When it's time to stop Ti, we'll pull back on the throttle here, this lever." Berwald indicated and then smiled at Eduard.

"Yes, you accidentally called Tino with your rear last night. We could only hear scuffling so we figured the phone was in your pocket." Berwald said being nice and poking Tino slightly to indicated not to tell Eduard the truth later it would mortify him to know they heard more than scuffling.

"Throttle, right." He smiled, har! This wasn't THAT hard! "We're going to be fishing soon. Berwald! I'm gonna feed you from the plate of NATURE! This is so cool!" He cheered, bouncing up and down in the boat's seat. He just felt so happy being on that boat. His Finnish fisherman ancestry was on fire.

"Scuffling. Right." Eduard seemed unsure of that answer as he stood there waiting for Gilbert to answer his phone. It simply rang and rang. "Curses. Looks like I'm going to have to go down there and wake him up. I feel like the proverbial object at rest though. Thanks to his lazy tattoo'd posterior, it doesn't look like I'll get to stay at rest."

Eduard stuffed the last of the delectable nutella danish into his mouth before ushering it down the long journey to his stomach with a good long sip of coffee. "We'll meet back with you guys once I've woken everybody up."

And with that, the groggy Estonian once again trekked off across the boat on tired legs, the early morning air more than a little cool against his bare torso. "Curse this not having a shirt business..." He quietly grumbled into the rim of his mug as he soldiered on towards the cabin.
