Bye, Point of Origin.
The e-mail came through about my website hosting a few weeks back. I thought I would be upset about losing Point of Origin, and I am a little wistful, but also I'm happy that it's time to move on. I'm not the sentimental sort and the last couple of years have made clear that I'll never have the same amount of time to spend on writing or fannish things. I'm still in touch with friends I made in fandom and that to me is the best thing - better than anything.
I had so much fun, seeing my stuff up on the colours I'd chosen in the format I wanted it to be, and I can never thank Nicci and Ximeria enough for making that happen for me. The beautiful images Nic made and the technical know-how that Xim gifted to the project were beyond generous.
The sweet irony that the invoice arrived within a week of me posting a little story for the first time in months has not been lost on me. :)
I love A03 ( even if I haven't totally worked out their search filters yet) and I am thrilled that all my work is archived there. And people are still reading it! Unbeleiveable.
So, if anyone has stuff tagged at Point Of Origin, I'm sorry. It's gone. But it is on A03 under author name Berty.
Right, now at this rate I should have another story ready to be posted in... oh... 2014. Let's say 2015 to be safe. ;)
