the sport/entertainment industry is one that is run by the people, for the people... they are paid based on the number of people willing to spend their hard earned money for an admission ticket. the inflatable movie ticket has gone up almost TWO dollars in the past 5 or 6 years. quite ridiculous i know, but until the people start striking, carmike has to keep the prices up to pay for the movies that cost on average, 50 million dollars to make. film is very pricey... tons of people get paid, not just the actors, their salaries are alot less than you think, only a handful get millions in the double digits. The government can't control private industry. Everyone wants to be famous. Any form of 'ball' player obviously gets paid alot, but it isn't for the government to regulate, because it is all private industry, the owner, aka the millionaire with enough money to buy/create a sports time, controls how much they are allotted, that or the greedy contract the agent makes. but seriously... what are you, fascist? kidding. teachers get benefits, they are state owned, people don't realize that benefits are sometimes more vital than a 'huge salary'... trust me, teachers have it better than you think.
