I'm a sob story.

I am very dismayed at the lack of love Arizona gets. Apparently because we do not observe Daylight Savings Time we forfeit the right to have accurate tv forecasting. For about a month now I have been looking forward to nothing but watching the premiere of Avatar on Friday Sept.21. The Nickelodeon website indicated it would air at 8:30 ET so I made the assumption that it would come on at 7:30 because normally that is how the times adjust themselves as they come West. Then two days ago I looked at Yahoo to confirm the time and Yahoo told me 6:30 so because you are asked to put your zipcode and cable provider in I could only assume it would be right. I double-checked it this afternoon to make sure. Then when I arrived at my grandmother's house (I don't have cable) at 6:30 of course Avatar was not on. I checked her tv guide in the local newspaper which then indicated that Avatar would be on at 8:30. So just to make sure I checked Nick every half-hour between 6:30 and 9:30 and nothing. Every show was ahead by three hours which I can only assume means that Avatar came on at 5:30 and I miiiissed it. Can you believe that what is considered a prime-time 8:30 show on the East Coast becomes a 5:30 show here? I play tennis until 6! People aren't even home from work yet! What is the deal? Nickelodeon doesn't have the decency to adjust the schedule and someone at the paper is clearly not doing their job. Normal Arizonans don't have four hours to figure out what went wrong with the guide so they can infer what frickin hour Avatar comes on.

The only good thing is that if this continues (and I figure out how to get out of tennis early) I will be watching it at the same time as my east coast friends.

It's not even on youtube yet. T_T
