So Amanda and I finally made it over to the Univ. of Wash. to vist 2 of my fave hussies, Joanne and Jamie. =) WHEW, lots of fun .. it turned out to be a very educational experience, here are some wise things a person should really know:
1. Watch out for biker boys with blinky lights, they seem to enjoy coming out of thin air.
2. Jamie: "Is that campus police or Chinese?" Campus Police=Has lights and the words "University of Washington Police" on vehicle. Chinese=No lights, and I'm guessing says something a little different on the side.
3. You CAN pull off the "fancy meets hungover" look, complete with a nice sweater over a T-shirt, paired with sweats and flip flops. I did, and it worked out fabulously.
4. Don't feel bad when you clear out the campus food store after buying $100 worth of groceries, especially all the good-for-you-stuff like chips, candy bars, gatorade, cookies, and 4 icees. oh and 1 fruit bar. Yum.
5. No matter how fun drunk dialing may seem at the given time, it won't be so cool the following day. Neither is leaving 10 messages on someone's phone (cough*Jamie). Just don't do it. End of discussion.
6. If you see someone's cell phone by a book in an ice cream store .. assume it is the workers. DO NOT pick it up, trying to find out who's it is and call everyone in their "Recently Dialed" list. Especially Nana. Leave Nana alone. (Talk to me about this one if there's any confusion.)
So there you go .. tuck all that info away in your little heads, because trust me, i'm sure you'll need it someday. Just be glad we got to it first and you can learn from our mishaps.=)
