Gerard woke up somewhere dark and damp, and had no idea where he was. After he managed to pull himself to his feet, he realized that he had passed out in the bathtub of someone's hotel room.
He stumbled blindly into the other room, where the sunlight was beginning to filter inside. He could see the shapes of people sleeping scattered around the room.
Bert was curled up alone on the floor, also rather damp. He shivered in his sleep and pulled his legs in closer. Gerard smiled to himself and went to find a towel to throw over him.
