My sister just posted lots and lots of photos from our road trip to her flickr account (her name is WIdrakie). Check it out.
I'm in my second week at Salt. It's already a bit stressful. I have my third draft of a character sketch due tomorrow and we're doing a presentation for our camping trip/mini-ethnography last weekend on Friday.
Mini-ethnography means that you go into a strange place and find a place to talk to people. We went to a bowling alley. It was really interesting. It was actually candlepin bowling. We recorded sound (although our group lacked a radio person) and took photos. It was really neat. Now, we're putting it all together: writing, images, sound (although because we don't have a radio person, we're a little sound deficient).
I'm more worried about this photographer collaboration thing. I have an idea and one preliminary interview set up for Monday. I'm talking to someone tomorrow about another preliminary interview. We have a student phone at Salt and I had 2 messages on it today. I was so excited, you would have thought that I had just gotten a present of some sort.
I'm going to Northampton this weekend. I'm quite excited. I'm visiting

applejuicegirl and it will be fun! I'm excited about seeing Northampton, the campus, and people that still are there. I'm hopefully going to see Howard Gold, my advisor and maybe the Rabbi.
Speaking of Rabbi, I'm still not sure what to do about the big High Holidays that are rapidly approaching. I probably will go downtown Portland. I do have a young Jewish contact to talk to. But, I've been so busy that I haven't yet.
I promise to finish my "road trip diary" soon. I just have a lot of writing to do at the moment.
