Abilities: Master Swordsmanship- Being an espada means that she is in every way a deadly weapon. She handles her blade with almost no effort. She has full control over her moments and can stop her attacks at a moment’s notice, at the same time she can perform with deadly blows.
Hand-to-hand combat expert- Nelliel is by no means helpless without her weapon. She is shown to be very skillful at hand to hand combat, favoring kicks over punches. So don’t steal her papou icecream.
Sonido Master- With her speed she was easily able to sneak up on the number 5 espada a number of times and easily avoid his attacks. At full speed she becomes invisible to the unaided eye. She was able to use this skill to bring the wounded Ichigo a safe distance away from Nnoitra.
Cero Doble- Nelliel signature technique, she absorbs the energy of an oncoming Cero, or any type of enery based attack through her mouth, and fires it back at her opponent with double the explosive energy.
Hierro- An arrancar technique in which the user condenses their energy and creates a steel-hard skin, a sort of light armor against an oncoming Zanpakuto attack. It is rather helpful in stopping a sword bare handed, or in Nelliel’s case with her bare foot.
Enhanced Strength- Being the formal number three espada, her strength is great. She has the ability to stop gigantic weapons with her bare hands. She has been known to throw her opponents backwards several yards with just a punch or kick. She is also able to break the Hierro of an espada level arrancar with one attack.
Immense Spiritual Powers- She has enough spiritual power to sense her comrades from miles away. Her level of energy has even caused her to be mistaken for Ichigo.
High Intellect- Compared to most espadas she had a great deal of intelligence. She is well informed of several different combat forms, and has the tendency to pick apart at her opponent’s skills and the intentions behind their actions. Unlike most of her former comrades she has a code of honor and shows respect and mercy to her opponents. This can be blocked however by her childish antics.
Zanpakuto- Her zanpakuto is named Gamuza, it’s release command is ‘Declare’. Once the blade is release her form changes to mark her sword’s power. She becomes a centaur, with a longer mark and more curved horns on top of her head. Her weapons changes to that of a medieval joust.
Strengths: Besides all of the above, she is by far one of the strongest characters in the series. Her spiritual pressure was mistaken for Ichigo’s when she reverted into her adult form. She is very much aware of her strength and only uses it for the honorable purposes.
Weaknesses: Physically she doesn’t have many weakness. Her main one would be that because she was in a child form for a number of years her skills aren’t as sharp as they could be. In her fight with Nnorita, she did several moves that should have atleast incapacitated him but he just stood up and brushed them off. In his own words "that number on your back is meaningless now."
She of course is not invincible; she bleeds, she bruises and feels pain, it just takes a bit more for her to get to that point. If for some reason she is ever averted back into her child form, she is completely useless. She cannot fight and the only thing she is able to do is scream and cry.

Personality:As a child Nelliel was very immature. Her speech wasn't tactful and she was rather vulgar, but people blamed her attitude on the hollows that were taking care of her. In this from she was very much a cry baby. She couldn't stand being away from Ichigo for more than a few seconds and after seeing him "die" she couldn't stop crying. It was the fact that Ichigo was losing in his battle against Nnoitra, and defending her even though he was being seriously beaten that caused her to finally transform back into her original state.
In her adult form, Nelliel is one of the calmer and more collect of the espadas. She is very mature, logical, sophisticated and quiet. She doesn’t talk much, in or outside of battle. She speaks mostly only when needed too and would rather spend her time reading books.
Even as an espada she has to work hard to get where she was, and some people (Nnorita) did not believe that she deserved her rank, because she is a woman. She takes that fact that she is female with pride, wearing clothes that hug her curves and show them off. She wasn't seen as the least bit shy or self conscience in herself when she was in nothing but rags. She is proud of her body, and doesn't care who sees it.
She goes by a code of honor, stating that if one fights for selfish gain, hatred, prejudice or just for the simple act of fighting, then they are not worthy to call themselves warriors. She feels that violent people like Nnoitra are nothing but animals that go by instinct alone. Vengeance however, is alright.
Despite her skills on the battlefield, she hates combat. She refuses to kill weaker or injured opponents and will stop fighting once they are disabled. Originally the only reason she fought was because it was what Aizen expected out of her. It was only after Nnoitra attack her fraction that she found another reason to fight; protecting and defending the things and people she holds close to her. This fact sometimes has her questioning her beliefs. She has the skills to kill in the blink of an eye, but she would hate herself if she ever had to do that.
When she fights she is very serious, analyzing every detail in battle. She is a very obedient soldier, but it takes time to earn her respect. She is intensely loyal to the people she cares for. Having always lived in a combative environment she has learned not to take allies for granted and will do whatever she can for them. She shows a very childish like behavior at random times, especially around Ichigo. She has a child like curiosity about everything, having lived in a hollowifed desert her entire life there are somethings about humans that she just doesn’t understand simply because she had never seen anything like it before.
In her child form she developed a connection, or as some would say an obsession, with Ichigo. She was always either near or on him, becoming a crying useless puddle if something happened to him. Even in her adult form she is still very clingy to Ichigo, but she is more protective of him now that she can fight.
Strengths: Looking at her body, she doesn’t have the muscle definition of a fighter, but she the fire in her eyes says differently She never backs down from a challenge, even if she doesn't see them as a true warrior or at her level. Case and point would be the fact that she agreed to fight Nnorita so many times, even though she felt he was just an animal. If someone is attacking something or someone important to her then she will not stop until they have fallen. Her sense of honor is seen as a personal strength for her, separating her from the other arrancar who only care for violence.
Weaknesses: Her honor code is seen to some as a weakness, she will not kill anyone or anything that isn’t as strong as she is. In some cases she seems almost egotist of her power, calling others animals and saying they aren’t worth her time.

In the past she was seen as very calculating and precise, but her time as a child alter her personality so she is a bit more careless in her decisions now. A good example would be when she was clinging to a wounded Ichigo so much that he passed out, and she shook him to try and wake him up instead of trying to heal him.
Ichigo is probably the biggest weakness she has. When it comes to him she will do anything for him, and is almost constantly with him. If something ever happened to him then she would be in instant battle mode. At the same time if his safety was compromised then she would do whatever it took to have him back.

RP Sample: The darkness was intense, it was starting to cloud the former espada’s senses. "What is this...?" She muttered to herself. She took a step forward, the darkness clearing now, her bare feet making a small noise under the hard ground. Her toes curled as she expected to feel warm sand under her, but she felt nothing but cold cobblestone. She leaned down, placing a hand on the ground. This was not Hueco Mundo, was this one of Nnoitra’s tricks?
"Ichigo?" She called out softly, expecting an answer from her comrade. She looked up, her eyes widening as she did. She found herself no longer in the remote desert she was created in, but in the center of a small town, the sky black was silver lights twinkling above. She stood up, her open slightly agapped as she scanned the area.
The setting was unfamiliar to her, the people running around, the gas lights dancing behind glass, and the tiny shops with signs and brightly colored objects in the windows, this was all so strange to her. This place has a odd feeling to it, it was warm but not in a physical sense like her home. She took a few steps, her eyes like live wires as she stretched out her senses and searched for any sign of her friends.
"Hey, kupo!" She froze, and looked downward at the strange creature. She couldn’t tell what this thing was, it wasn’t a hollow, but it certainly wasn’t a human either. She kneed down to it as it pushed a small object into her hands along with some gold and blue spheres and a key. "Welcome! Keep this with you at all time! And uh, you might wanna try and get some new clothes, yours look kinda ripped, kupo."
She watched as the creature flew away and she was left alone again. She could feel some people staring at her, but she didn’t take much notice. "I need to find Ichigo." Her expression hardened as she stared straight forward. Ichigo was here, she knew that much. She needed to just track him down now. Her eyes narrowed before she just seemingly disappeared into thin air.
