John Hughes (1950-2009)
Sad news: John Hughes, the director of classic 1980s films such as The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buller's Day Off and Sixteen Candles and the screenwriter of Home Alone, passed away today at age 59. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.
