Title: Coming of age
Pairing: Jongin/Sehun
Word Count: 11.5k
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: self-lubrication, classism, implied mpreg, A/B/O dynamics.
Summary: A/B/O AU. Jongin, still a juvenile omega, has been hung up on his friend, conservative alpha Sehun for a while. He only wants, at least, to have sex with him, but Sehun refuses because Jongin's first heat hasn't happened yet. And also maybe because Jongin has never accepted his role as an omega, and rebel ones aren't the perfect mates for someone like Sehun.
Notes: I started this on December, and abandoned it, and then continued it... A hard path, in short, but writing independent Jongin made it worthwhile. Betaed by
shinealightrose, of course (of course!).
“What does he have that I don't?”
The question is recurrent through weeks and even years, but no one ever dignifies Jongin with an answer. The object of his complaints is usually different. Some days it's Luhan with his sunshine smile, other times it's Baekhyun and his pheromonic omega tactics, and sometimes Jongin doesn't even know the name of the omega being courted by Sehun.
This time, however, he is familiar with him. Kyungsoo is a sweet, but smart omega two years older than them. He's desired by a large amount of alphas and betas as the representation of a figure that is almost extinct nowadays: an omega willing to have a lot kids and to take care of them.
He supposes that if Sehun is into that, maybe Jongin can understand what he's lacking to be in his position. Times have changed and the hierarchy isn't like in his parents' era. An omega is allowed to defy an alpha for power, to refuse the idea of building a family and even to be the seducing half of a couple. It's looked down upon, but it's allowed.
On the weekends, people spend an insane amount of time at the lake. Jongin and Minseok are just lying on the shore, but a hundred kids and nearly fifty adults are fooling around in the water, Sehun and Kyungsoo included. It's a painful view for Jongin, who is aware that if Sehun is charming enough, he'll be getting into Kyungsoo's pants in no time.
“Probably, self-love,” Minseok responds him, tactless.
Jongin begs to differ. He's the one who sees himself as something more than an instrument to make prosper the community by giving birth, so he's also the one with an uncomfortable - in alphas' opinion - sense of respect.
“I just asked Sehun to fuck m-”
“Begged,” Minseok corrects him, a smirk dancing in the corner of his mouth.
Jongin scoffs, dismissing the jab. “And if he wasn’t such a close minded shit, he would have accepted.”
His friend sighs, exasperated, when Jongin stops snuggling against him and whining, because it's not fair, not fair, not fair. Minseok, as a beta, doesn't understand Jongin's struggles with the alphas - and with everyone else, for that matter. His life shouldn't be so complicated because he hasn't had his first heat yet, but it is. Minseok thinks it's a bit fucked up that omegas now have sex before the first heat comes, because then they become like Jongin, a mess who wants sex but doesn't have the strong smell of a full mature omega to mislead a poor alpha.
“He's just scared you fall for him and your friendship disappears in the process,” Minseok consoles him.
He pets Jongin's hair and the younger boy purrs at the touch. It doesn't cross Minseok's mind they shouldn't be doing this in open field. As much as they're just good friends, Jongin is probably going to receive a scolding for being too young to 'flirt'.
“What if he falls for me?” he pipes up, smug.
Yes. For Jongin. Jongin, the terror of the alphas.
Minseok has to hold back a mocking laugh. “Sure.”
One of the worst ideas is to consent to or boost Jongin's self-esteem. He knows his weaknesses and his strengths, and that's why he's such an annoying omega.
“When he realizes I give the best blowj-” Jongi begins, hopeful.
“Jongin!”
It's not Minseok who cuts him off, although he's expecting him to be. However, the voice belongs to an alpha, an inherent authority in the tone that anyone would be able to filter even among the sweetest words.
Both Jongin and Minseok sit up at the call, finding a scowling Sehun staring down at them. With their bad luck, judging by the disapproving gaze, their friend has probably only heard the 'I give the best blowjobs' part. Not that Jongin cares, because Kyungsoo is just behind Sehun, beaming up at him as though he’s found his new best friend.
“Hello, Jongin, Minseok!” He waves, painfully cute and adorable and, Jongin is sure, asking for death.
While Minseok lowers himself to greet him properly, Jongin mutters an uninterested “ 'supp.”
Anyways, Jongin loses interest in the beloved boy when Sehun kicks him in the shin, severely. “You brat, why aren't you studying for your Rank license?”
There are a lot of reasons why. First, he's not going to be a house-omega, and he's not going to get pregnant as soon as his first heat hits, therefore he doesn't give a damn about learning how to raise a kid. He plans to delude an alpha into being his servant for the next fifty years and start breeding at forty, if he starts at all.
“It's Saturday,” Jongin reasons instead, aware that a different answer would make Sehun mad.
Sehun glares at him for several seconds, and then his gaze is moving towards Minseok, whom Jongin can feel stiffening at the eye contact. Raised brow, the retort is simple. “And?”
“And you don't give me orders,” he bites out, bothered, especially because Sehun is trying to intimidate Minseok. His friend always thinks Minseok is the one guiding him to the bad life. But the thing is, the responsible one is Jongin himself.
Sehun closes his eyes, inhaling, clearly trying to keep his cool. When he opens them again, his pupils are so dilated that Minseok and Kyungsoo don't hesitate to slip away in silence.
“I don't?” Sehun tells him at last, dryly.
Jongin should have seen it coming, but that doesn't stop him from yelling like a mad man; Sehun takes him by the legs and drags him all the way from the lake across to his house, at the horrified eyes of the young ones and the laughs from the oldest. Mostly, Jongin notes, from old omegas, as if this was some inside joke that only they can understand.
Not only does Jongin fail his Rank exam, he's also assigned to a special course to remember the foundations of an omega life. Apparently, he shocked some teachers with his results, especially with his answer about how 'alpha kids should be hung from their toes until they learn to respect omegas'. Teachers can bicker all they want; Jongin will still do that if he happens to give birth to a rude alpha.
“What is your problem?” Sehun spats at him when he hears the news, not from Jongin of course.
The omega boy isn't surprised to spot his friend at his bedroom's door, though it's quite late already. It's no mystery that Sehun visits him every night after his duties, because that's how they have maintained a friendship for so long. If it was another guy doing this, Jongin would consider himself courted. In fact, some alphas have shown interest in him this way, and Jongin may or may not have not slept with a few of them.
“Look, I don't care about having a license,” Jongin tells him, letting himself fall back on the bed.
Sehun kicks his shoes off and closes the door behind him, soon climbing onto the bed next to him. Even though they're having a serious conversation, and it's likely to end in an argument, Jongin says nothing when Sehun sinks his head on Jongin's tummy, using one of his legs as a pillow. Instead, he laughs, patting his hair as Sehun shamelessly groans.
“You're nobody in this community without a Rank license,” Sehun points out.
Jongin raises his hands defensively, indignant. “Woah, so discriminatory. There are people here without it! And they look perfectly happy to me.”
And Jongin is happy too, just like this, without having to fulfill someone's else expectations because everyone knows Jongin is not your average omega.
Sehun gazes up at him, and much to his surprise, he's smiling. “They're hippies whom no one has relations with.”
“Okay, I'll be a hippie then,” he huffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
Sehun laughs, yet he doesn't discuss it further. Instead, he flips positions with Jongin, landing on his back and tugging at Jongin so that he rests on him. Jongin gives in without putting up a fight because of two main motives: one, Sehun smells like an alpha and damn it if Jongin doesn't want to rub his face against that natural perfume; two, his friend seems too tired to bear with his objections now. Thus, he presses against the side of Sehun's body, and he's rewarded with arms around his back.
“How many propositions have you received this month?” Sehun inquires of him minutes later, softly.
It's the first time Sehun has asked him in months, so he catches Jongin unprepared. To be honest, Jongin doesn't have that many love calls compared to other omegas, though he hasn't displayed any kind of interest either. Besides, he likes the image of the alphas being too intimidated to hit on him.
“What is this about?” he protests, not wanting to be sincere about this topic.
However, omegas shouldn't get any formal proposition before the first heat. Theoretically. Morally. Boringly. And Jongin does.
Sehun mildly pinches him in the ribs. “Just answer.”
“Two? I think,” Jongin lies. There have been more, but for some reason he feels uneasy at the idea of revealing it to Sehun.
The alpha mumbles some incomprehensible things under his breath, nervously wriggling at the news. “Jerks.”
“Why are they jerks?” Jongin snickers at the irritated tone, and then he finds his chance to attack. “At least they want to have sex with me.”
“Jongin,” Sehun warns him, and the other whines pitifully at the subtle rejection. He holds Jongin tighter, humming. “Because of that, actually.”
The omega is aware of what Sehun must be thinking of those other alphas. That they just want to use Jongin for his own needs, because he won't ask anything more serious from them. But it's not like that, though Jongin would never dare to share that information.
For example, Kim Junmyeon has been courting him for months. At first, he tried the traditional way they're taught in their alpha courses, but Jongin blatantly kicked his ass because he wasn't going to let anyone treat him like a delicate flower. Thus, Junmyeon had to make an effort for him. He learned to understand Jongin's thoughts, and also learned how to take Jongin to bed. The problem was that, at the end, neither of them developed feelings for each other, so they became friends who only help each other during hard times.
Of course, Sehun doesn't need to know that.
They nestle for a while on Jongin's bed, and just when the omega is half asleep, Sehun tries to slide away without waking him up. But being attached like parasites, the slightest movement stirs Jongin up. “Aren't you staying?”
There's something similar to a mewl on his question, mainly because Sehun hasn't shared a night with him in the whole last month.
Unexpectedly, Sehun's neck turns red, a color that spreads up to his face. “It's... it's because...”
“What,” Jongin pushes him, too sleepy to interpret why his friend is embarrassed.
However, alphas never stay flustered for too long. They're supposed to be strong and the unbreakable wing of a community, and the only reason why Sehun blushes in front of Jongin is because Jongin hates standards.
“The due date for your first heat will be within this year,” Sehun begins, maintaining his eyes fixed on the bed instead of on Jongin. “And if I stay and it happens during the nig-”
One second into the explanation, Jongin is completely awake, encircling Sehun's wrist to make sure he doesn't run away. In his defense, Sehun really seems about to escape from him.
“You can stay,” he assures him, though it's pretty obvious that Jongin has always wanted him here, with heat or without it.
Sehun's eyes widen, but his knees weaken. After all, he's an alpha, and the image of an omega practically pleading with him is a hard thing to ignore. Jongin knows it, and always takes advantage of it. But Sehun doesn't want to get into this, much less this way, and he isn't ready either to voice out the reasons.
“No,” Sehun shakes his head in denial, softly forcing Jongin to release him. “No.”
Since Jongin has failed his exam, he has no excuse to avoid his chores anymore. That's why he is assigned again to the beta kindergarten, and meanwhile he doesn't dislike this job; he hates the part in which he has to accompany them to the bathroom or chase them through toys on the floor.
Much to his misfortune, Kyungsoo is one of the new additions to the team, which leaves Jongdae, an alpha, Jongin and Kyungsoo to take care of a hundred children. This gets on Jongin’s nerves, as he now has to deal with another omega, besides Jongdae, whose favorite hobby is following him with random questions.
“Damn, Jongdae, stop babysitting me!” Jongin snaps at his co-worker just an hour into the work.
He's currently trying to lace a kid's shoe when the alpha tries to assist him, and while the gesture would be considered sweet to some, Jongin just wants to punch him in the face.
“You look like you could use some help,” Jongdae defends himself.
As an answer, Jongin raises a bare foot, sending the respective infant to the soft ground in the process. Luckily, the kid giggles. “I have hands, I can do it myself. You see?” He shakes the tiny foot in front of Jongdae's face. “Of course you see it, because you have eyes, so stop chasing my ass as if you were digging for gold in it.”
Kyungsoo is observing them in awe, rudely gawking at the exchange of words, even if he seems much more surprised when Jongdae sends Jongin a bright smile.
As soon as the alpha disappears from Jongin's side, Kyungsoo is throwing himself at him, hands fisting his t-shirt and a foreign admiration in his eyes. “How do you do that?”
“What?” Jongin blinks, confused.
“Talk to an alpha like that, unbelievable!” Kyungsoo exclaims, and it's hard to tell if he's angry or just plain amazed.
The other omega shrugs. “I just do?”
“But how?” Kyungsoo insists, and without waiting for him, he adds, “They allow you to!”
Jongin considers the situation before making assumptions. He would swear Kyungsoo is comfortable with the traditional roles for an omega, so he doesn't quite understand what this is about. Does he want to manhandle people too?
“Kyungsoo, I'm sure they would allow you too, if you did,” he ends saying, a sympathetic pat on his back.
His new co-worker almost breaks his neck to deny it, an effusiveness that comes out as cute. “I have been told to behave more than once, Jongin.”
Jongin can bet his ass he has been. Even he, when he was already a raging eight-year-old, has gone through that kind of situations. That's why, despite not liking Kyungsoo very much, he rubs his arm sympathetically. “Why are you asking me, anyways?”
It seems like Kyungsoo is waiting for this kind of opportunity. He fidgets, eyes anxiously wandering as to make sure nobody can hear them. He isn't capable of making direct eye contact with Jongin, for he fixes his gaze on Jongin's shoes.
“You'll see,” he shyly begins. “I know that some alphas look at you like they look at trash, but others...”
The other omega pulls his eyebrows together, confused. “Go ahead?”
Slowly, Kyungsoo stares up at him, collecting enough courage to spit out all he's retaining inside. “A lot of them look at you as though you are the most precious person in the world. In certain alpha's circles, you have a lot of suitors that are waiting for your first heat. And it's not a sexual thing, at least not purely sexual!” he exclaims, in order to transmit how relevant and unusual that fact is. “It's because they're amazed by you, and they want a strong, rebel omega instead of someone... like me.”
The revelation hits Jongin so hard, catches him so mentally bare and exposed that he's only able to emit a scared squeal. Kyungsoo jumps at the sound and Jongin hurries up to cover his own mouth, offended by his own behaviour, but he doesn't comment on anything. He has taken in the bad looks that come his way, but he has never noticed what Kyungsoo is talking about. What do alphas do, anyways? Gather around a fire and talk about their crushes as if they were infatuated teenagers? Oh, wait, some of them are.
“And not only the alphas!” Kyungsoo continues, and it sounds like an apology due to his inability to read Jongin's expression. “I know at least a dozen betas that are completely enamoured too, but they think they have no chance because you can choose from a wide range of alphas.”
Jongin raises a hand, though the other one goes to his chest, and Kyungsoo stops blabbering right away. His eyes are wider now, when the realization of all he has spat settles and he finally sees the expression on Jongin's face.
“Well, this is new,” the younger guy says. He has always thought that it was weird to be courted before his heat, but he didn't imagine it had those proportions. “That means that during claim... during claim season...”
Kyungsoo nods, frantic, entangling one arm with Jongin's. He's brighter now that the guy understands where he's coming from, but being a traditional omega, he's much more excited than Jongin will ever be. “Yes. If you're not mated by then, the competition to claim you is going to be wonderf- awful.”
The idea of having to deal with a bunch of alphas makes Jongin sick. Maybe they're alphas that want him because of his infamous temperament, but that doesn't make it less of an objectification. It's then when Jongin realizes that there are only two alphas who would never treat him like a prize to win, and between those two, neither is a perfect candidate to be his mate. Junmyeon doesn't fit the role because Jongin doesn't love him, and Sehun would never touch Jongin regardless of how much he asks for it.
Jongin would like to be mated by the time his heat or the claim season arrives, but it's impossible. It doesn't matter which one comes first, because the courting will start with any of them and could be extended even for years.
He wonders if Sehun knows about this. He's an alpha, passes the majority of time with them and of course, people know he's friends with Jongin. If Kyungsoo has obtained this kind of information, there's no doubt Sehun has to have heard it sometime. Jongin is quite annoyed by it: they're supposed to be friends, at least, and this is not the kind of thing that you keep from your best friend.
However, there's another problem to worry about. He's in the limit age for his first heat, and it'll happen within months at most. He's terrified and disoriented, but that doesn't mean he's not using his logical side: he needs an alpha for his heat, and he needs to make a deal before it happens. If an unknown alpha has the bad timing to pay him a visit while he's in heat, Jongin knows he won't reject him - he'll be pleading it.
Thus, one day he asks Jongdae for permission to leave the betagarden sooner, and instead of going home, he walks toward the industrial alpha section. As soon as he steps into the noisy metal fabric, he has around twenty alphas turning to look at him. He feels intimidated for a brief second, but then he remembers who he is and how he doesn't give a damn about those thirsty alphas.
He finds the familiar face right away, and sighing in relief, he strides to him with a timid smile. “Alpha Suho.” Jongin doesn't really use honorifics or rank names, but he's aware that, in such a large crowd, talking to Suho informally could be an embarrassment or an insult to his pride. “Can we talk for a moment?”
The reaction is instantaneous, and although Jongin has predicted it, his rebel side still flinches at the whistles of admiration. He wants to yell at them that he’s not surrendering to the alpha’s charms and that he never will, but that would be counter-productive to asking Junmyeon for a favor later.
“I can't believe it,” a young boy next to Junmyeon dares to comment. “How fucking lucky you are, piece of shit.”
Junmyeon punches him in the arm, hard, and Jongin draws a goofy grin when the stranger yelps in pain, mumbling an apology.
“Sure,” Junmyeon tells Jongin then as he removes his dirty gloves.
The omega isn’t surprised when Junmyeon takes his hand; neither is he displeased. Not completely, but he has always hated how soothing is to feel an alpha’s hand against his.
Junmyeon leads him to a small room, which seems to be the rest area for the workers. Jongin lets go of his almost friend just then, in the security of an empty space. Even if Junmyeon is staring at him, expectant and somehow severe, Jongin doesn’t chicken out. He has to do this for his own good.
“This is a bit hard for me, so...”
Those are enough words for the alpha to pick up on, so he raises a brow at him as though he finds the topic funny. “It's about your heat?”
Jongin simply nods, but a second later he detects the change on Junmyeon, who seems shocked at the affirmation. Maybe because he doesn’t clarify himself right away, but he’s not thrown off guard at the next question. “Do you want me to be your mate?”
There’s incredulity in his tone, which Jongin is grateful for.
“No!” he answers, trying not to sound too horrified at the idea. “I don't want to mate… like at all, it's just that I trust you and I think it should be you who helps me.” After all, they have done this before. “It's okay if you don't want to, I know this is fucked up and serious, and this is like using you.”
He would go on with the excuses, but he’s cut by a strident, inhibited laugh. The guy in front of him shakes his head, as if he couldn’t give credit to what he has heard.
“You have to be the first omega that thinks he's using an alpha for sex. Are you kidding me?” Junmyeon says, failing at containing his laugh. However, he regains his seriousness back when he notices the blush on Jongin’s cheeks, and like he has always done, he takes care of his nerves. “It'll be an honour. You're such a special cornflake, Jongin.”
“What are those rumours about Junmyeon and you?”
Jongin has no trouble identifying the voice, yet surrounded by the noise and the music, he doesn’t perceive the anger that carries.
It’s the Beta festivity, a special day for all those who belong to that Rank, but as any celebration in the community, the rest are also allowed to join the fun. Betas dance and perform for hours straight, from the nightfall to the dawn among dangerous, tall fires, displaying what is one of Jongin’s favourite festivities. There is food and music, kids and elderly, and it’s in times like these that Jongin realizes how much he loves this community.
“Oh?” answers Jongin, turning to stare at Sehun with a relaxed smile.
However, his friend isn’t happy at all, tense jaw that accentuates his collarbones and tendons. Minseok, who has an arm round Jongin’s waist, is enough fast to release him and not have to face Sehun’s wrath too. The beta knows this is the type of thing that bothers Jongin -an overprotective alpha- but it’s obvious that he never picks up the correct signals from Sehun, because his best friend is allowed to be as stubborn as he pleases.
“They said you went to see him,” Sehun insists.
Jongin’s momentarily distracted by a Fire eater passing by, but he ends up shrugging at Sehun’s explanation. “Yes? I mean, we're friends.”
Minseok wishes the omega could see how the statement changes the shine on Sehun’s eyes, but he’s not looking at the guy anymore. It’s like watching a flame extinguish, the passion and the anger becoming old dust that one never removes. “Since when?”
The guy encircles Jongin’s wrist to draw his attention, and judging by the confused look Jongin tries to exchange with Minseok, the pressure is uncomfortable. He doesn’t complain, though, because when he finds out how concerned his friend seems, that becomes his main preoccupation in life. “Sehun, what's the problem?”
Minseok leaves right then, just in time to witness how the omega caresses Sehun’s cheek with the back of his hand. It’s an intimate moment in which he’s an intruder, and although he’s interested in what’s happening and is going to watch them from afar - call him a gossip - he can’t put up with the power an alpha-omega bond emits when they’re in love.
Even if they have no idea they are.
“Sorry, I'm just...” He hears Sehun apologize. “I hate when alphas do this, talking about you as if you’re Junmyeon’s property.”
The laughter from Jongin is louder than the screams of the kids and the tribal drums, and as Minseok disappears between people and the Fire eaters, he’s able to picture perfectly the matching grin Sehun must have on his face too.
As days pass, Jongin begins to fear. There’s a tiny possibility he’s infertile, he realizes, because that would explain his lack of heat or pre-heat syndrome, and also his refusal to fit into his role as an omega. Maybe he’s just not producing the hormones he should, and for the first time, he gets scared of being repudiated. Not only that, but that would leave him off the map to any alpha, Sehun included. And the truth is that Jongin would want to have nothing with him if he was infertile, because his friend is an alpha with great genes and - although Jongin rebels against this idea - it would be a shame if Sehun didn’t have any offspring. He even thinks about taking the trigger pills that some couples use when they want to have kids so that the omega enters heat at a time he shouldn’t.
Nevertheless, he doesn’t have enough time to even consider it: his heat hits him unexpectedly, like a waterfall falling onto his head, too intensely and almost painfully. He’s supposed to feel slightly uncomfortable for days prior, to have some muscle aches, a temperature a couple degrees more and to be as needy and affectionate as a baby. Only the last one happens, and of course, he ignores it thinking it’s one of his regular hormonal changes, since he might be affected for the closeness of claim season.
Minseok is his cuddling toy in time like these, which means they spend almost the whole day together and, much to his dismay, his friend is the first to suffer and witness the start of his heat.
They’re on Minseok’s couch that day, watching a movie together as Jongin insists on being cradled in his lap. He appeases him, of course, because Jongin is incredibly stubborn and anyways, he’s used to complying. They’re halfway into the movie when it happens, when something different and dangerous wakes Minseok’s senses. At first he just brushes his nose with his palm, sure his mind is playing a trick on him, but then he inhales deep and hard, and that’s the final blow he needs to recognize it.
Those are pheromones. Not thinking twice, he presses his nose against the back of Jongin’s neck, but he regrets it right away. The smell invades his nostrils and his whole body, Jongin whines pitifully at the contact, and soon there’s only one word inside his head: omega.
Flinching, Jongin turns to gaze up at him, red cheeks and swollen lips, and Minseok swears he’s going to go crazy.
“Min-nseok,” he stutters, confused. He barely talks, for his voice sounds more like a moan. “What is… happening to me?”
The question makes Minseok snap out of his daze. He remembers this omega is Jongin, his friend, and overall, he remembers an individual that would kill him if he dared to put a hand on him.
“Oh, shit,” he curses out loud, trying to get Jongin off him. The younger one fights a little, nails scratching Minseok’s arm as to beg him not to leave, but at last he abandons his friend on the couch. Minseok covers his mouth and nose with his hand, staring at him in fear. “Shit, shit, shit. You smell so good. ”
Jongin opens his mouth to answer, although he hasn’t planned what he can possibly say to that. However, as soon as his lips part, he can’t help but moan louder. The sound of his own voice sounds foreign, a shot that starts a fire inside his body and expands everywhere until even his fingertips are burning.
He only realizes he has bent down, face crushed against the cushions, when Minseok’s panicked voice talks again. “Wait here! I’ll call an omega. Don’t move, Jongin. Stay right there!”
It’s not like he could, anyhow. Against the couch, he can’t see or hear, but his sense of smell seems to be a thousand times more qualified: he literally smells the two alphas from the next house, besides Minseok’s aroma and a familiar omega perfume.
“Are you out of your mind? You let him here and didn’t lock the door?” The main door opens again and two guys run into the house, one of them screaming and the other one apologizing. “He could have escaped!”
Jongin looks up, but the mere movement sends a wave of spasms down his body. His eyes fall on the big-eyed guy approaching him, and Jongin only thinks he doesn’t need a fucking omega at this moment, especially not this one. “Kyungsoo.”
“Oh, sweetie,” he sighs, sitting down and encircling him. There’s a maternal tone in the nickname, and even though Jongin doesn’t like him a bit, he finds himself gripping Kyungsoo’s thighs and desperately sinking his teeth in them. Unexpectedly, the other omega simply strokes Jongin’s head, not reacting to the bite. “It’s okay, Jongin. Do you want to call an alpha? If you do, you have to choose someone now while you can still reason.”
He doubts he’s reasoning right now, for he’s about to leave a permanent mark in Kyungsoo’s flesh, but the first alpha he envisions in his mind is Sehun. Sehun and his broad shoulders, long legs and big hands that can take his hips perfectly, tempting lips that must give the best kisses… Much to his disgrace, Sehun doesn’t want him.
“Jun… Junmyeon,” he whimpers at last, feeling a strange relief when he finally voices out the name of the man.
Being focused on tearing apart Kyungsoo’s thigh, he misses the look that he and Minseok exchange, both of them confused.
“Junmyeon?” the omega carefully asks, as if he had heard wrong. “Does he know about this?”
Since he is positive he won’t be able to utter another mere word, he limits his answer to an energetic nod.
“I’ll go get him,” announces Minseok one second later, and Jongin can hear his steps running across the street, the strength of his smell mildly decreasing.
Then, Kyungsoo takes him by the hands. “Come on, we have to go upstairs,” he whispers, almost lovingly. “You can’t pass your heat on Minseok’s couch, he’ll go crazy.”
By the time Junmyeon gets into the house, still downstairs, Jongin is already pressed against the bedroom door, crying and groaning. When the alpha enters the room, despite the evident hard on in his pants, the first thing he does is help him to lie onto the bed. Just right then, while Junmyeon worries about not fucking him on the floor, Jongin knows he has made the right decision.
Part 2
