Life

My birthday went well... thank you to everyone who left birthday wishes here, facebook, etc... it was a good day, my friends sung to me at midnight and left a poster and streamers outside my door. Most of their present to me happened today, however, when I got to pick food and a movie of my choice- I opted for Indian food and to watch, rather than a movie, Season 2 of The Office. We ate our Indian food, and I think at that point I was not so much a person as a food consuming machine. SO GOOD. Then we were going to watch The Office in Ally's room, and they told me that we'd meet in 10 minutes, and when I went up there they surprised me with cupcakes and candles and singing, and a card. Everyone had written their own messages inside the card, and, keeping with the theme of the night, Ally's message was "I hope the only downsizing you have is on your age." It was perfection.

Then, Lost premiered! Yaaaaay! Hopefully this will be a good season- I'm definitely intrigued.

Then, about half of our house watched the Project Runway reunion special and made "team" shirts for the finale. I'm on Team Jeffrey, if anyone's curious. :)

...I just realized that a large percentage of our lives revolve around the television in this house. Yeah, Smith College!

Earlier today (I know, the chronology of this entry is all messed up), I did poorly on my psychology test, but I'm going to just say that I can move on from here, I now know what to expect and can spend MUCH more time studying and do really well from here on out, hopefully. In between the test and the birthday celebration I was going to go to the gym, but decided it was a nice day and I should do my cardio outside instead. I wanted to go on a walk on this really pretty route that our aerobics teacher showed us on Tuesday, it goes through this park and everything... so I did, and I ended up RUNNING for the first time in years! ...well, jogging, if you want to get technical about it. I kind of did switching off between running and walking. It felt good! I think I'm going to have a goal to eventually be able to run the whole thing. I NEVER thought I'd say that I'm running by my own choice. I think I even wrote some LJ entry about it a couple years ago, but I can't find it. I'll let you know if I do. :P
