(no subject)
We're in day 6 of Ramadan, mashalah. This time around it's going much more smoothly alhamdudilah! I think it's because I have more iman and for any other reason that I am unaware of. I'm very grateful that I've met two sisters from the masjid. It makes me happy that God is providing muslim friends for me to have and they are so nice. I'm hoping to break fast with my friend Dina today or tomorrow inshallah. My husband and I have a lot of running around to do today but hopefully we can make it to the masjid for duhur prayer. She also told me about a halal market near by which we're hoping to go check out. Alhamdidilah it's right next to the masjid she says which is great because we thought there were none near by. Hopefully inshallah when we get our monthly salary we can go and buy some halal meat and some groceries from there.
Inshalah my mom is flying in on the 18th and I'm pretty excited about that. Damaya's turning 1 on the 21st and I have to make baklava for the party. I'm kind of having some troubles with my sisters birthday because since we're fasting we can't really go out to eat. I feel like my family wants me to make exceptions for them but I won't. God comes before all and that's the way that I am living my life. I just pray that they can accept it and learn how to live with it. I pray that they learn from me and do the same but I just want no hard feelings. Anyway, we've got things to do. I just wanted to make a quick update. I don't know why I update my journal.. I guess it just feels good to let things out and to write/type my feelings and such out.. Even if no one really reads them.
