Morning daze.
Beder's birthday just passed. It was pretty great, everything went very well. I made a sweet whole wheat pie and some qatayef. It all came out so good and everyone loved it. My sister, daniel, damaya, and grand parents came over to our apartment for dinner. We also went to the mesjid for the noon prayer. Someone was getting married so it was packed.. Sometimes I wonder why isn't it like that every friday? Why do people only go to the mesjid for special occasions? Or cover up for going to the mesjid on fridays? Anyway, I hope that the newlyweds have a happy life together and stick to the right path.
My mum has reserved her flight for the 18th of August! I am so excited for her to come down. She has yet to seen our new apartment and our new addition to the family, Muza. We're trying to save some money up to be able to fly to New York for a weekend in October, inshallah. My grandparents want to get re-married in the church they married in 65 years ago, mashallah. I don't have much planned for today but I've gotta do some laundry and pick up a bit. I also think I have ringworm now on my arm :/. It really sucks because I have to constantly worry and think about getting it on the cats or roxy.. Or even Beder. It really sucks. At least I have the cream still from the last time and I'm covering it with a bandaid. I'm just grateful it's on my arm and not on my scalp or face. There are more difficult areas it could be in and I thank God it's not in one! I need to call the adult ed. and see when they are registering. I am looking forward to being able to go to school close to home and not have to go nearly 30 minutes away. The amount of gas money we were spending was ridiculous and the damage it was doing to my legs sucked.
