New In: Makeup Revolution
This is probably not new to many of you but I have never tried anything from Makeup Revolution. The Superdrug in Maidenhead doesn't have a stand (why oh why) for the brand so I've never got to try it. Until I went to the Superdrug store in Ealing Broadway and found a stand. A lot of the products are sold old (I really wanted to get my hands on the baked blushes) but I still managed to get a few gems. I've seen the brand pop up in a lot of the blogs I read so I know that they do a lot of dupes of bestsellers. Still, I wasn't prepared when I saw the stand. I probably spent a few minutes trying to decide what to get. In the end, I picked up three products:
Vivid Baked Bronzer in Ready to Go - Because this was the only untouched bronzer left. Haha! It looked like a good dupe for the Hourglass bronzer. I haven't tried that one yet but I'm a big fan of the Ambient Lighting Powders and the blusher so I'm naturally curious to try it. I've used this once and it's definitely not one for those who prefer their matte bronzers. It might work better as a blush to be honest but I will keep on trying it out before I decide on my final thoughts about the product.
Essential Mattes eyeshadow palette - These palettes are dupes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes presumably but since there aren't any all matte palettes from UD, it must be a dupe for something else. I don't have an all matte palette so even if it isn't a dupe, it's a good addition to my stash. I haven't tried this yet but I'm excited to try it out.
Radiant Lights Palette in Radiance - Another Hourglass dupe! This is supposed to be a dupe for the HG Ambient Lighting Powder palette which I never got my hands on. I've studied it a bunch though and judging from that, this looks like it has a lot more shimmer than the HG one. This might work best as a highlighter rather than an all over powder. I used the darkest shade as a highlight the other day and it looks really nice. Again, I will play with it some more and let you know what I think!
