If you follow my makeup
routines, then you probably know that I've been using the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer as my go-to base duo. However, this past week, I wanted to do something different with my base and use other products in my makeup stash. I tried to use different combinations until I finally settled on a group of products that surprisingly gave me a really glowy look. Here are the products I used:
Dr. Jart Waterfuse BB cream (posts
here) - I discovered this product back in 2013 and I even had a phase when this was the base I used for months. I started using this again and I remembered why I like it so much. It's a moisturising bb cream that really brightens my complexion which I've been noticing has become really dull lately. I'm glad I rediscovered this old favorite.
Clinique Superstay Primer Colour Correct - This one is actually a new discovery and something that I got and then forgot all about. These products were really popular when they launched last year and I think that's why I picked it up. I've been using the Benefit Porefessional and while I like it, it does tend to ball up when I apply it on my face sometimes. So I looked for something else to use and I found this in my stash. It has the same effect as the Porefessional but I would say that this is smoother and less heavy on the skin. This is definitely going to be an added step in my daily makeup routine.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (reviewed
here) - I am not going to write a long post about this because I just reviwed it. But basically, it's a cheaper version of the NARS concealer.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light (reviewed
here) - Again I don't know why I stopped using this. And to be honest, I think this is the one that really gives that glow. It give that lit from within glow without looking powdery or cakey. It doesn't control oil -though so I have to re-apply this several times in a day (may 2-3 I'm not kidding). But even if you build it up, it still looks nice and natural.
