Product List: October 2014

I don't have a long list of products for my October favorites. I guess it was because I already had a skincare and base routine that I didn't want to try anything else. And as I've said, October was kind of a lazy month makeup wise. But there were still some standout products during the month and I guess you could say they were autumnal even though we don't really have autumn here in Manila. We did have a lot of rainy/gloomy days so I switched up the stuff I used this months and put my summer products aside for a while. Here's my product list for October:

1. Laura Mercier Fresh Fig candle (reviewed here) - I started with the candle because I have it burning right now and it's making the room smell awesome and cozy. I love the scent which is sweet but not cloying and still a little bit herbal in a good way. I've had this for almost a year now and it's still going strong! It's definitely going to be a staple in the months to come.

2. Korres Showergel in Fig and Vanilla - On the subject of figgy scents, my favorite showergels are the Fig and Vanilla ones from Korres. I hoarded a bunch of Korres products a while back and now I'm using them one by one. I'm almost out of the Fig one but I will surely be stocking up on this again.

3. NARS Argentina eyeshadow in the Ride Up to the Moon palette - Now makeup! All I've been able to wear on my eyes this month are single color eyeshadows and I've been all about sparkly shimmery eyeshadows for a while. NARS Argentina fit the bill. I really wanted to get Stila Kitten and MAC All That Glitters but since I was on a ban, I used what I already had instead. I don't know if I'm getting those eyeshdaows because this is just as good.

4. Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow stick in Bad Girl Bronze - Looking back at my old Product Lists post, I realized this had already been featured before ( June-July list). But I'm still featuring it because it is an awesome product. An eyeshadow stick is your bestfriend when you're not in the mood to do your eyemakeup. I swipe this all over my eyelids and then blend the edges with my fingers. I love the reddy-brown color because it's quite different from my usual brown eyeshadows.

5. Sephora Lip Cream in 04 - This was probably my favorite product in October. The Sephora lip creams are popular among bloggers but I haven't read a lot of reviews about this color. It's a deep plum with purple undertones which is a good fall color. It stays a long time on the lips and it's not drying too. It works both for daytime and nighttime (one layer for day and then deepened with two-three layers for night).

6. Happy Skin Moisturizing Lippie in Crushing on You - My nude pick for the month! It's not actually an exact MLBB because it has a lot of pigment. I would say it's a pinky nude that's great for everyday color. As the name suggests, it's moisturizing too. But because it's a creamy color, it's not the most long wearing, maybe around 4 hours which I think is standard for creamy lipsticks.

That's it for my October Product List! I hope to use more exciting products in November so stay tuned!
