Disappointing Product: Bourjois Java Rice Powder

Look at that pretty pink powder! Being an oily skinned gal, I love me a good powder. I powder my face all the time because otherwise my face would get super oily, I can bottle it up and sell it. Lovely picture I just painted for you, huh? Haha! Anyway, this product was super hyped a while back as a sort of dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. I have tried one of those and loved it. So when I saw this, I wanted to see if that was true. IT ISN'T. I just didn't like this powder. It was too shimmery! The HALs are very fine and when you apply it as a setting powder all over your face, it deposits an even glow to the face. It just has something that makes you look radiant.

This on the other hand is soooo heavy on the face. I applied it using the same brush so it's all about the product. It just doesn't work as a setting powder. It made my face shine in all the wrong places, Maybe what I can do is use it as a highlighter instead but honestly, I'm set in the highlighter category I'm probably not going to use it. I'm so disappointed but that's what you get for buying into the hype sometimes. Some products will work on you, some wouldn't.

base, not meant to be, bourjois
