NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolcea Vita | NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Golshan | NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in red Square
I didn't mean to collect all of these three reds from NARS but somehow I ended up having them all in my stash. I love these lip pencils but to be honest, I kinds wish they came in the twisty variety. My heart breaks a little every time I have to sharpen these. So much wasted product! Sigh. But they are very comfortable on the lips, not drying and has decent staying power (except for Dolce Vita but I've had for about 3 years already so maybe the quality has deteriorated).
Dolce Vita - Daytime Red
My very fist purchase from NARS. Yep, I didn't go for the blushes first. I bought this when they first released the Velvet Matte lip pencils many years ago. I probably should throw this out but it's a really nice shade of red (mauvey-red maybe?) plus it has sentimental value. Haha! I will probably keep this until it's down to a little nub.
Golshan - Nighttime Red
I got Golshan late last year around November when I was feeling the vampy look. This is a very deep red color, almost plummy and very vampy! I wore this a lot last December, it was perfect for parties or when you're going out with friends. This has a Satin finish to it doesn't last long. You'll have to reapply after eating or drinking. I still like it even though it's one of those high maintenance lip products (you have to keep checking and reapplying).
Red Square - Orangey-Red
Who hasn't heard of Red Square? A few months ago, a whole bunch of beauty bloggers went gaga over this color. It was sold out everywhere! I got my hands on this a few months ago when the hype has died down. It's such a gorgeous color, I get why a lot of people love it. It's one of those colors that brightens up your look when you wear it. Perfect for when you're feeling down and just want a little pick me up. Pair it with a liner and loads of mascara and you're good to go.
