Nail Polish of the Week: Topshop Wide Awake
This is a color that I don't think I have yet in my collection so it really stood out to me when I was looking at this sea of Topshop Nail Polish displays. I think it's the type of color that you get away with only during summer because it's really loud and fun. Our office doesn't really have a nail polish policy but I definitely wouldn't wear this if I have a meeting with a big executive. But since I'm on leave for a week and we don't have any visitors when I get back in the office, I'm happy to have it on my nails.
Having said that, I think the color is the only thing this nail polish has going for it. The formula of the product was gloopy and it didn't coat my nails evenly. I had a really hard time painting my nails an even coat. I find it too thick and the wand isn't helping either. I don't know if it was a bad batch or if it reacted with the extremely hot weather we're having. But either way, I'm glad to have it on my nails now because the color is making me happy but I don't know if I'll use it again.
