Nail Polish of the Week: A nod to Radiant Orchid
When it was announced that the Pantone Color of the Year was Radiant Orchid, I wasn't really that excited about it. I like the color, but it's not something that I seek out. But when I saw this nail polish from Etude House, I liked it right away. This is part of the Play Nail Polish collection.
While I think the color is ok, I don't think I'm going to use it much as I'm not that into pastel colors. I got the color in the photo after two coats but I have to say that the first coat applied very streaky. It leveled itself after I applied it but I think it's because of the brush. It's very similar to the Essence nail polish brush which isn't my favorite. It's quite thick but the sides are tapered at a weird angle. I guess that helps with avoiding getting nails polish on the sides of the nails but it leaves a streaky finish that I didn't like. I applied a top coat over it to make it glossier. Etude House offers a few other pastel colors so if you're into that kind of color, I suggest you visit your nearest Etude House branch.
