Towards the end of the year, I discovered a few products and tools that I loved so much, they made it to my daily makeup routine. I loved them so much they even got into my 2013 favorites post -- link
here. Since they made it to that post, I think it's time I write a post about them and why they are such amazing products for me.
I'm going to start my post with a product that you've seen in two posts, not just my 2013 favorites but also my latest weekend haul post -- link
here. I was really, really excited when I got this product (thanks again, Addie!) as it's something I've seen in a lot of blogs and was keen on trying. It also made it to a bunch of 2013 favorites from lots of bloggers so I'm not alone in my love for it. This is the Bourjois Paris Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation.
I got the shade Light Beige which a good match for me. The Healthy Mix foundation is one of those glowy foundation which a lot of oily skinned gals like me stay away from. But we don't have to always stick with matte foundation. I find that this foundation doesn't really look bad as long as I set it with a matte powder (my choice is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder). I would love to skip the powder but I know it will look super shiny around my t-zone after a few hours. If I didn't have oily skin, I would leave it as is. The finish is really beautiful and it does make the skin look healthy and radiant.
One pump is enough to cover my whole face with a sheer coverage making it perfect for everyday makeup. If my skin is acting up, I add a half pump more and build it in the areas where I need more coverage. What I like about it is it doesn't feel too heavy on the face as some heavier foundation can be. I apply it using my new favorite foundation brush (review to follow tomorrow so please stay tuned!) and it's a match made in foundation heaven.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it's very hard to come by locally. Luckily, I found an online shop in the US that stocks this foundation. I might have to hoard a few jars to make sure I don't run out!
