I think everyone who got the November Ipsy bag can agree that it was one of the best bags from Ipsy. It was only my third bay so that's not saying much but I have to say that I was really excited to get all of the items in my bag. I've already tried all of them except for the Glamglow skincare item which I'm planning to use this weekend. Today, this post if going to be about two standout items from the bag: the Nailtine Caviar Nail Polish and the Em Cosmetics Lash Gallery Mascara.
I seem to be pretty lucky with the nail polishes that I get from Ipsy. The Nailtini Caviar Nail Polish comes in a huuuuge bottle and the brush that comes with it is pretty good too. The color that I got isn't something that I would pick myself, I actually wanted to get the pinky-champagne colored one but this is nice too since I don't have a similar color in my stash. It went on my nails right away and although I already have chipped nails here and there, I think it performs really well. The color is opaque (two coats max is all you need) and it has a unique finish. Like molten metal. I like it. Here's how it looks on my nails:
The other standout for me is the Em Cosmetics Lash Gallery mascara. Em Cosmetics is the makeup line of youtube beauty guru Michelle Phan. I've been watching here videos for years and it's very inspiring how her career has grown over the years. I have to say though that I wasn't that excited to try this one because I've read not so glowing reviews of the powder eyeshadows and blushes. But surprise, surprise! This turned out to be my favorite product out of the bunch. It's now living in my makeup bag and goes with me everywhere! The Lash Gallery mascara is supposed to give you volume but for me it also adds length! The wand is slightly curved, similar to the Maybelline The Falsies mascara and the size of the wand is ok too, not too big and not too small. It's not that hard to take off at night at it doesn't give me raccoon eyes too! I just love this mascara.
Review of the other products coming soon!
