Arggg, I've been MIA again for a couple of days because life is so busy these days. I'm travelling next week and I'm preparing for that so my mind is really focused on work right now. I haven't even been wearing that much makeup lately. But I have to change that because next week, I'm going to be with the big wigs in the company. I have to look polished and professional. I don't know about you, but I get that extra boost of confidence when I know I look my best. Of course, the main thing is to be prepared (study your presentation, read up and do your research) but it doesn't hurt to prepare externally as well. This is extra important for me because I don't look mature. I'm almost thirty but I don't look it. I am grateful that I look younger than my age but for work, it's not helping. I have to wear makeup to make myself look professional and not someone just right out of college.
As part of my preps for next week, I bought a new eye palette! I'm planning to bring this with me as it's super travel friendly. Just look at how tiny it is! I usually wear neutral eye makeup to work but I don't want to bring my Urban Decay Naked palette because it's huge. So I just bought a smaller one. I was originally planning to get one of the Wet n Wild palettes but I saw this one and thought I'd give it a try instead:
BYS Eyeshadow in Natural Delight
I got this because when I posted the
BYS Blush Trio on Instagram, a friend commented that their eyeshadows are good and really pigmented too. I swatched this and was impressed with the pigmentation so I got it. It's also very affordable at only Php299! For that price, you get five eyeshadow shades. They're all in satin finish, not matte but also not flashy. First on top is a highlight shade which is a champagne color; next is a lid color which is light brown that's close to my skintone; next is a color that can be worn on the lid or crease and it is a medium brown color; next is a color for the crease which looks taupe but with a lot more purple and gray in it; and the last is a liner color or for the outer v which is a dark brown color. I'll make a proper review next week with swatches. In the meantime, if you find yourself near a BYS kiosk, try swatching their palettes. This brand is starting to become one of my favorites!
