New to the skincare family - VMV Hydra Balance Cleanser

I first heard about VMV from my friend Abby who swears by their products. I don't even remember what product it was but the brand stuck to my mind. When I hear VMV Hypoallergenics, I think about skincare. They have makeup too but I think their skincare products are really the bestsellers. A while ago, they had a store wide sale so I though it was perfect time to get myself introduced to the brand. I have been looking at VMV displays in different Watsons branches but I never get enticed to buy. That was until I visited the store in High Street. It's a very cute space and the sales attendants are really nice and helpful too. I went inside to look at the different products and maybe buy a toner but I ended up buying an entire line of products for combination skin. I have been using all three for a month and today, I;m going to review the VMV Hydra Balance Gentle Cream Cleanser.

I like it when boxes have the complete information about the product. Not just ingredients and how to use it but also what products work best with it and how it actually helps your skin. This product is a "hydrating cleanser which whisks away excess oil, helps control acne, helps restores skin's moisture barrier and resilience, soothes over treated or irritated combi skin."

The product itself is different from other cleansers that I've tried. First of all, it's a cream cleanser. I've only used oil, foaming and scrubs cleansers before trying this one. Good thing I was prepared because of the different cleansing balms that I've been reading about. This does not foam or form a lather. You just warm in on your hands and apply it on your face and gently massage it in. Unlike cleansing balms which you remove with a cloth, this one you can rinse away with water. At first, I found the texture weird. I missed the lather and the soapy feeling. But after a while, I liked how gentle it felt on my skin. I got so used to it that I now find the Neutrogena daily scrub a bit abrasive. This removes everything that my cleansing oil fails to remove. It's also hydrating which means it leaves my skin feeling plump and fresh after use. No break  outs too in the month that I've used it.

It might be too early to say it but I think I'm inlove with this cleanser. I have to hoard this stuff when VMV goes on sale again!
