For some reason, I've recently become obsessed with my hair. It must have started the second I saw the United Colors of Benetton billboard in EDSA featuring Charlotte Free sporting pastel pink hair. I wanted to have her hair. But since I'm a corporate slave, I knew I couldn't have a head full of pink hair. Guard pa lang baka di na ako papasukin. So I settled for pink hair tips. I googled and found three pegs right away. I also bought bleaching tools from Hortaleza, SM and HBC (I was looking for the perfect bleaching powder, ok?) and Manic Panic hair dye in Cotton Candy Pink. With all my tools and all the research I've done, it should have been easy to get pink hair tips. What I didn't prepare for was the bleaching part taking forever to completely strip my hair color to pale blonde. You get pastel pink only if you have pale blonde or white hair. After three bleaching sessions, I now have brassy light brown hair. I may have 1-2 bleaching sessions left before I get my hair light enough for the pastel hair dye. I'm currently in between bleaching so I decided to try hair chalks. It's not at all permanent, you'll be lucky if it stays for up to three washings. But it's way cheaper than Manic Panic and you get a lot of colors too. I got mine from an Instagram seller. It's better if you get other people to order stuff with you so you share the shipping fee haha!
So I got my hair chalks today and because I have zero EQ, I used it right after I got home from the office. I tried to chalk my hair light blue. But most of the color ended up on my hands!
Grossie, right? But it'll be all worth it if my hair did turn blue. Since it's nighttime and I'm too lazy to use my camera, here's a crappy photo of my hair right now:
It's looks white. I hope it's not white. I'm praying it's not white. It's probably white. Whatevs. I'll reserve judgment tomorrow after washing it and with better lighting. Stay tuned!
