After a couple of gorgeous grilling days, we've had mostly downpours today. Friday I found out that I was officially accepted into George Washington University's master's program for Education Technology Leadership. I'm SOOOO excited! I hope this will help get me the "in" I need for corporate training.
Meredith also came over Friday night and stayed until this morning. We went out to dinner to discuss the terms under which she will be moving back in since she got into George Mason and she needs a cheap place to live in VA that's nearby. Saturday we went out to Winchester Motorsports so Andy could pick up the Thruxton from it's first maintenance. I tried out the Bonneville with the single-rider seat and it wasn't too bad. We went to the Leesburg flower festival and hung out with Suzi and Cara (who happens to play Puerto Rico!) all afternoon. It was a great day, and to put a cherry on top, I got to have funnel cake.
Today we had breakfast with Burma and Chad then spent most of the day chilling out and listening to the rain fall. I checked out the Moto Guzzi motorcycles online, because I noticed a couple of nice ones yesterday at Winchester Motorsports and now I want the Nevada 750. Unfortunately, the seat height on it is 30 in. and my inseam is 28 in. Harley Davidson still wins when it comes to the short person, but I don't want to have the same bike so many other people have.
I still haven't planted anything in the garden, because every time I make plans to garden, it's either raining or there's a freeze threatening that night. I didn't do my usual bout of seedlings due to my busy schedule, but I figure the money I spend on plants this year will be considered "even" since I didn't spend all that money on potting soil for seeds which some end up failing in.
