Awesomeness!
The pig roast was a major success, thank you to all of you who came out on the 13th, it was so great to see everyone again! Our after-party (with Sam and Grayden) was awesome too, we made a kick-ass meal and had some great conversation.
This week at work has been pretty busy, as collaboration continues to be an imminent force, we are dragging along my stubborn coworker while she kicks and screams. We're doing a great job, however, with developing skills tests that are compatible with our teaching and analyzing student data to help guide our instruction.
Friday I got a physical, lab results are not in yet, so I do not know if I have a thyroid disorder, or if I'm just fat :-P
We headed up to upstate NY to surprise-visit my family Friday night. We stormed through, got a hotel room for the night, then left for Cleveland around 7 the next morning. Poppa looks stronger than he did a month ago and is way more responsive. Mom's got bone spurs and is wearing a walking cast to get everything healed. My sisters seem to be enjoying HS and CJ's getting bigger everyday.
We went to Cleveland for Andy's 10 year high school reunion. It was good to see a lot of faces I recognized but had difficulty putting names to. I'm really glad I didn't go to my own reunion, I probably would have hated it.
Afterwards we went over to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and walked around the waterfront. Andy then proposed, and I said yes. I can't stop smiling and I'm really excited!
We broke news to various friends and family today, including in this post.
