Went to classes. Got out early from 2 of them. Tried to develop the last roll of film from California at Kirkof but apparently they don't do that anymore so I have to take it to walgreens. I met up with Humphrey and... Sladjeck ?? Still can't get that one. Tried to bring along more people because they want me to help them make friends but everyone was eather in class or with thier significant others ie, Michaal and Leane, or too busy. But it was still cool. We went to Fresh Foods. Talked about the small differences in culture like the measurment and tempature systems we use, womans dress and how people have to have "thier personal bubbles" here where as in Africa and the middle east as well.... still not sure exactly where hes from.... everyone is in very close proximity all the time even with strangers. They talk to eachother practically nose to nose and that appropriate social distance is something that their both trying to get used to so they dont scare people... and Humphrey said he's really really keeping away from the ladies cause hes affraid of sexual harrasment suits....lol. I could see where their would be some cultural misunderstandings there if some one was trying to strike up a normal conversation to them but were nose to nose with their arm around you and youd never met them. Its interesting to reflect on how things like that are common knowlege to us but really are nonexistant. The social space we make and take as a natural is only the way our culture established it. I'm going to visit Thom and Megan again later on this evening and then Saturday and Sunday is going to be spent getting back to buisness and getting my class work done.
