7 Deadly Sins - Hotel announced

In case you haven't seen it on Facebook and Twitter, we signed a hell of a deal for our con hotel. Check www.sinscon.com for pricing details and a link to the hotel. We selected the Standard in Downtown LA. It's one hell of a place- aside from how great it looks, the staff is incredible and will treat Rocky Horror guests respectfully. They will be well prepared for what we'll be like and they're understanding and accomodating. For those of you coming who intend to party in the rooms, we'll need to chat some time about how to properly do this so we all have fun, but not to raise the hotel's suspicions. They know we'll be social till the wee hours and that's cool. They're fine with our Event Staff policing things before security has to be involved. They do have a similar outside food/drink policy as most hotels, but there's ok ways around that, enough so that I was comfortable signing knowing we'd be able to do what we do. They have a DJ schedule for weekend roof parties, and they're gonna arrange the dude from Bauhaus to DJ our nights. Nice fit no?

I just feel so incredible right now. The negotiation process was long but good. We got some good things worked out and we've got a win/win situation for us and the hotel. That's always good. I mean, I like to come out on top- I always take care of #1, but if I can help the other guy out too I feel better. The prices are incredible for Downtown, and especially for how nice the place is and all the amenities.

There's 207 rooms, I anticipate 400+ attendees not including Sinners(who will get rooms there as well), and most rooms comfortably fit 3ish give or take, so I really think we're gonna end up owning the whole hotel with the exception of two permanent residents they have and the 2 big penthouses which are already booked. Sins will have at least 5 rooms, 2 of which are WOW suites for everyone's enjoyment. When the manager went home today we already had 17 reservations in 4 hours since I signed the contract. I can't wait to see where we're at by Monday.
