Howdy! Long time, no update:-)
Well, I finally did it. I got a webcam. And one of my roommates has been gracious to let me use his laptop to get on Yahoo Messenger... So I've been able to talk to a few people (yes, that includes Shannon) on the webcam:-) It's a pretty cool little gadget!
In other news, I finally got my footlocker. I don't think I wrote much about it, but it had my Bibles and CD's and DVD's and you know - basically all of the stuff I love. We shipped it out halfway through Camp Atterbury, and I finally got it the day before yesterday. Good stuff - so now I can do more Bible study!!!!!! And listen to my CD's. And watch my DVD's. I love it...
I am very excited about getting into a routine here, which will probably happen once the guys we're relieving actually leave. Not sure when that will be, but it shouldn't be too long. They'll be heading out and we'll be getting our shifts worked out, etc... It shouldn't be too bad.
I am looking forward to finishing up though. Not just this deployment, either, but the military in general. Not that I don't love the Guard, but I have another love interest that I am going to be pledging my allegiance to, and that one takes priority. I've thought about it and prayed about it, and there are more than one way to minister to the military - but ministering to my future wife requires me being here to do so. I'm looking forward to being able to commit to being here and being here for her.
I think that's about it for right now... If I think of more, I'll write again! Shannon, I love you.
