so, you got sidelined by a thirteen-year-old girl, huh?

The thought of Jensen & Jared taking part in a soapbox race makes me laugh and laugh. Oh, boys.

I've been getting all nostalgic for Supernatural series one, watching The Benders and Pilot. They're such good episodes with such young Winchesters! I forgot how much I loved the programme when Dean was all about "saving people, hunting things" and they had John's journal and KAZ 2Y5 plates. I miss those plates. Even my mum -- who is one of the least observent people on the planet -- noticed how different Jared's voice was. I kind of cringe at his super-bland accent in the early episodes. And then I go and over-analyse it -- of course it's going to be more bland: four years of desperately trying to fit into Californian life will do that to a person. Plus, I've always liked the idea that the boys travelled so much when they were young that they're kind of chameleon-like accent-wise.

I also watched a whole episode of Gilmore Girls in the hope of seeing Jared (he didn't show up *sadface*), then a whole episode of One Tree Hill because I was curious about Danneel Harris. That's dedication. (Or obsession? I dunno. It's a fine line. *g*)

It's miserable outside: chucking it down & really windy. Yesterday I had to unearth my winter boots. We're just hoping we get a bit of an Indian summer next week for our holiday. Apparently this August has seen the least sunshine since records began. I can believe that; we've had about three days of sunshine in the whole of August. Blegh.
