“Eh?”
“You’re familiar with that ship The Black Pearl.”
she ain't just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, is she?
“I’ve heard of it.”
“Where does it make berth?”
“Where does it make berth? Have you not heard of the stories?”

“Captain Barbossa and his crew of miscreants sail from the dreaded Isla de Muerte. It is an island that cannot be found - except by those who already know where it is.”

“The ship is real enough, therefore its anchorage must be a real place. Where is it?”

“Why ask me?”
“Because you’re a pirate.”
scoundrels sure enough, drunken and foul-mouthed more often than not, but they understood the rules
“And you want to turn pirate yourself, is that it?”
“Never!”
dragons, said Jack, tilting his head back to study the steel-streaked sky. dragons and shells.
“They took Miss Swann.”
we'll just have to cut the net from her, lads
“Oh, so it is that you found a girl! Oh, I see. Well if you intend to brave all, hasten to her rescue and so win fair lady’s heart… You’ll have to do it alone, mate. I see no profit in it for me.”
“I can get you out of here.”
ever fancied going to the Caribbean, mate?
“How’s that? The key’s run off.”
“I helped build these cells. These are half-pin barrel hinges. With the right leverage and the proper application of strength, the door will lift free.”

“What’s your name?”
the boy studied him for a moment, dark eyes flickering in the candlelight, then said
“Will Turner.”
Jack’s breath caught in his throat.
