Well, I just thought I should close off and move back to cyphercat.livejournal.com but had to finish up with the very short journey on high blood sugar issue.
As quickly as the problem came, it went away. Looking back at all the numbers, I figured it went away on the first two weeks of January (about 2 weeks after I was discharged).
So what happened? The endocrinologist who saw me in April ordered a whole load of tests. By the end of it, she couldn't find anything wrong other than what I already knew pre-diabetes (I have always had higher triglycerides than normal people but my cholesterol is in good condition, and not related to this issue, but also checking on my fatty liver).
Now I am off insulin totally, off all medication including metformin totally and other medication but I am taking care because prior to all this problem, I was pre-diabetic (according to blood test June-2021 but no one said anything to me about that).
So my blood sugar history was:
Jun 2021: HbA1c was 6.3
27 Dec: hospitalized at 53 mmol/l
Dec 2021: HbA1c was 12
28 Dec: under 20mmol/l (with insulin drip)
1 Jan: around 12mmol/l
5 Jan: around 10mmol/l
10 Jan: around 8mmol/l
15 Jan: around 7mmol/l
By this time I kept having to eat a lot more meals and a lot more carbs due to several hypo incidents.
Feb 2022: HbA1C was 7.3
Apr 2022: HbA1C was 6.1
And because I managed to recover my other Livejournal (which I couldn't originally because I also lost the email - yet I eventually found a saved password somewhere), I am moving back to that.
