It looks like I'm going to have a pretty quiet house.

Good luck to everyone. We'll keep things steady here.

[Vash grins sheepishly and rubs at the back of his neck.] Well... maybe the cat can keep you company until we get back.

[Yes, he's trying to make light of this. He actually feels horrible knowing he's leaving you alone at home. The important part though is he said they'd be back. He is going to make SURE of that. He'll be sitting saying this from the couch if you're home, otherwise, he's still on the couch only talking through the journal!]

When the cat is sufficient company, I'll have officially lost it.

I don't know, she can be demanding when she's hungry! Just don't go and become a crazy cat lady!

... Okay. I'm on my way home so-- I don't know. I want to see you before they have a chance to take you away.

[ Meryl will be along soon, coming through the front door. This familiar feeling, this feeling of worry, it's getting old fast. ]

[Vash is home, flipping through a book on flowers while he waited. Anything to get his mind off of what was coming up. He smiles towards the door, setting the book down, when he hears it open.] Welcome home.

[ She's taking off her shoes. If it was any other day, hearing that would make her smile. ]

Thanks, Vash.

Oh, it's the same as always. We're lucky we don't have many rowdy drunks in the village.

Aw, come on now, the rowdy ones can make a night interesting! [He's going to keep this small talking going for as long as he can.]

I guess so. As long as I don't have to break up the fights. I'm also glad we don't have anyone who drunk strips. I don't think I can be held liable for shoving anyone off of my bar counter.
