"I know you'll be able to catch it. Having a racket would just make it easier." Fuji scanned the bottom of the cluster, spotting one that was yellow-orange in hue. He tossed a ball into the air, then brought up his racket as he would in a normal serve. The ball sped towards the cluster of papayas with pinpoint precision, and a moment later, a fruit dropped.
Another serve, and another fruit dropped. Fuji waited until Jirou was ready, then did it again. "You can do magic volleys without a racket after all," Fuji said, a hint of smile on his lips, as he shot down another papaya. Who knew tennis would actually have practical application in real life? Though given they were currently stranded on a deserted island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, "real life" might not be the right word.
Jirou easily caught the papaya as it fell. Fortunately he had wrists that allowed him to cushion the fall. If he had simply caught it ham-handedly as some might, it may have exploded! "Mm, it's a ripe one, too!" he said with a grin. He put it into his bag, then retrieved the ball that had also fallen nearby. "Ready!" He tossed the ball back to Syuu-chan.
Jirou laughed and caught the next one as well. Tossing the tennis ball back again after retrieving it, he said, "Sure! It's all in the wrists, after all!" He gave Syuu-chan a sunny smile. "Your serves are as amazing as always, of course. This is fun! I've heard of doing odd training that makes your tennis better; it's so cool that tennis is making out being stranded here better, too!"
