Official Group Organization Post
All right, so things got a little hectic and rules were confused last time. Let's clarify everything modly-style:
- The ship will crash on April 20th
- Everyone is free to log in whatever manner they wish (be it gdocs, AIM, email, or other methods)
- There is no deadline for this, or any other log
That there above, is the most important line of this post. There is no deadline for this crash post, nor is there ever a deadline for any log. Deadlines are worked out only by the members of the logging group. Backdating is always allowed, and encouraged!*
*On that note, if you still have cruise ship logs you're working through, or starting, do not feel obligated to rush to finish them! Take your time!
The meat of the previous post was to help the community members organize into individual groups, and not discourage all of you who may be less active, or those of you with multiple characters from being able to play out this scenario. We do not want anyone feeling left out because they are busy with real-life activities, or without internet, or any number of other reasons. We definitely do not want RP to be a full-time job!
Rules for posting in your group are dependent solely upon what the group agrees to. There are no 48 hour time limits, nor activity limits, unless your specific group decides together upon those rules. Please do not feel pressured to abide by any rules you are unable to manage, or deal with. There's really no reason this log should be more urgent than any other log. The players will all end up on the island eventually. Usually in some hapless fashion.

*Hello to our two newcomers, and don't mind the chaos. If either of you need any help, or have any questions please feel free to add them below. We want you guys to feel included too!
We'd also like to take down the information of any and all groups that will be together, regardless of whether you intend to crossover into other groups or not. Just think of this more like a checklist of our members. Every character should have a group, hopefully.
Crash Information:
- the crash happens at 4AM, if your characters are awake for whatever reason, they might even hear the ship hitting something before the alarms start
- the crew, staff, and animals disappeared from the ship around midnight, so they're long gone and it's eerily quiet
- the ship is not going to sink entirely- feel free to write your cabin filling with water or whatever you'd like for drama's sake, but keep in mind we'll be salvaging things later so don't write the ship off as a total loss
- it is more than possible for fit characters to swim to the island, though lifeboats are available too- you can also venture to take the high ground and move from the top deck across the jetty, as the ship is going to be leaning against it
- let's say a lifeboat with blankets and maybe first aid wash ashore immediately following the crash, so everyone doesn't freeze to death- likewise if there's anything else your character needs immediately, write that in too
If you are already on the island!
- If you are on the island already, just hold off for a bit, we'll be getting to you in the next group log
