[EVENT POST] 3 DAYS

May 10, 2012 03:50

Late ominousness... LJ is fail.

The first of the countdown days brought only a sense of curiosity and perhaps dread as to what the countdown may pertain to. All in all, it wasn't quite so bad. The second countdown day however, brought upon the realisation that now all of their signal flares have been used for no real reason at all. Some may be getting more apprehensive now as to what the final countdown may lead to. It may lead to nothing at all? It may lead to everything. There may be some now waiting to see what would happen for the next day. There may be some watching the beach to see what would happen. Perhaps some waited by the jungle to see if anything would happen there.

This night nothing happened in the sky. There were no bright lights, no fireworks and no notifications. The ones who were waiting probably fell asleep with no exciting news to report, or the ones that remained alert throughout the night would notice that a wall of sand had built up on the beach. A wall created by particles of swirling sand like multiple dust storms walling off an area of beach with time.

As the night wore on, the wall of sand slowly drifted away and in its place there was left a most beautiful work of art. All of the remaining cakes, pastries, candy and sugary products have been salvaged cleanly from the ship and arranged on the sand. All of the ship's supplies of chocolate and caramel sauce covered the pastries in a beautiful and (if not a little dusted with sand) edible masterpiece. A giant number 3. That's as many as three ones, and that's terrible.

3

The cakes spelled out in such a delicious pattern. Only edible by the bravest of souls… or the ones too hungry to care that it's been caked in sand. Cake is cake, right? At four AM, the speakers cheerfully called out once more to the island. A voice of a cute giggly girl on this day.

"Three days!"
