Oh, it exists! There's lots of it if you know where to look. I didn't know about it either until I saw the Ship Manifesto and went, "huh, I remember that movie!" and clicked. I last saw it way before I got into slash, though, so it was all new to me. But it was fabulous.

irisbleufic has The Series/Book of Hours which starts here and goes from I think a year to a year-and-a-half pre-movie up to and beyond the movie. It's awesome and wonderful and heartbreaking but sooo worth it. And, if you want a happier ending than the movie, irisbleu also wrote the College AU.

There's also lots of fics over at billyjoeyslash. Some of them are dead links because people had journals deleted/left LJ, but a lot of them are still there.

I really don't normally like "tragic" romances, but I can't help it with Billy and Joey. They're so damn cute! And a small but wonderful quality fandom. What more can we ask for?

And if you would possibly be willing to contribute some art, I know no one in the community would object at all. *whistles, looks innocent* Absolutely no pressure, though.

Also, while I don't have nearly your maniping skills, this icon is the best effort I've ever put forth in that area.

...sorry. I love it when someone else has heard of/seen Toy soldiers, and it's so rare when it's a slasher too! My enthusiasm just overflows... Okay. Done now...
