Damn Old House

Mar 12, 2008 22:50

I am home alone working, well not really alone, 4 cats and 1 sleeping child - but alone on the second floor.

I am about 10 yards maybe from my bedroom door. The bedroom is off of the open office area on the second floor. My desk sits at the window with the bedroom door behind me. Downstairs Amore (one of the cats) is crying; not in pain but calling for something or someone.  My door is rattling like someone is trying to get out of my bedroom. Grover (another cat) is hiding under my desk (btw Grover hates me).

There is a large bang downstairs (could be the cat downstairs), then the door stops rattling, and my stomach relaxes. Why doesn’t this happen when T is home?

Not that I am complaining, also not going to look for who/what is rattling my door either; they can stay on the other side. However if I suddenly disappear without notice, don’t blame T the house could have eaten me.

Great Amore has started crying again!
