Another day at work - sometimes it is EXTREMELY boring as one must wait for a call to be placed (all computer generated) then you read your intro and hopefully, you get someone who would "like to take a survey"!
Then, you get to ask them all sorts of questions, depending on the type of survey - sometimes it can be boring or monotonous, but overall its OK, the worst is getting a fax machine - OW! The ears! Lots of answering machines, too!
Some cute answering machine messages were - "You have reached the number you called" and "If you are a lawn mower, hang up, if human, leave a name and number". Which I thought was funny - I have a dear friend who hates getting answering machines and he leaves messages like "If I wanted to talk to a machine, I could go in the yard and talk to my lawn mower" .
And what can be interesting in this work (and I think kind of cute/sad) is when they want to go on and on about their lives - mostly the elderly - which makes me realize we should talk more with our elder citizens - they are lonely, but can have interesting and wonderful things to talk about - after all, they have lived a fair amount of time on the earth and have much to tell if you listen!
