Anyhoo, as a V-Day gift and as a way to hopefully give myself something to do, I've stolen this writing meme thing from slartibartfast and...well, the first five comments for sure, but I may keep going.

Colby laughs it off, because he can already tell that Cadman likes stirring up drama too much to be completely trusted.
Still when he glances over at her while discussing the original Star Trek vs. the Next Generation with Evan, the tilt of her head might seem innocent if it wasn't also accompanied by a smirk and a waggle of her eyebrows.

A month later, Colby officially admits defeat in his internal denial of his attraction to Evan. The Friday night drinks seems to be kind of a ritual, and although he does make an effort to talk and socialize with the other teachers as well, he somehow always ends up back in whatever table Evan's sitting at, or Evan ends up at Colby's table.
In addition, Colby keeps intersecting with Evan on his morning jogs to the point where they part with a 'see you later' and 'same time tomorrow?'
So it's kind of a relief when Cadman just sits down on his desk one day during one of his free periods and says, "Just in case you really are oblivious, let me just clear everything up for you: Evan likes you and he'd kill me if he knew I was here, but this is very much the high school cliché of 'do you like my friend, because my friend likes you?' And please know that if I find out you have been deliberately leading him, and me, on, I will not hesitate to punch you."
Colby just stares at her for a moment, speechless, and then she actually starts to crack her knuckles, and he doesn't doubt the threat at all so he goes, "I'm not leading him on."
Cadman beams. "Good," she says, "Then if your wrestling team wins their upcoming match, I fully expect you to take Evan out to celebrate. He likes Thai."
Colby can't really help it, he laughs, and can feel a dorky smile spread across his face as he says, "Yeah, okay."
