This Is a Pain in My Neck...Literally!

So I have spent two days rotting in front of this machine trying to submit my resume and cover letter to Lockheed! The page must have crashed the first time that I tried to submit. The thing is I lost two days of work. I was heartsick...more like pissed or crazy. I told steph that I was going to pee my pants and squat in the corner eating imaginary bugs. Fred helped me with the second paragraph of my cover letter. After twenty drafts, none of it made sense anymore and I had to find someone to help. He made some minor corrections, but said it was pretty good as a whole. Mike also helped me, I called him much too often today...I sort of feel bad for bothering him. I love you, dear.

fishandsparkles: well I am done now even though I should have been done at like 4 today
kalidoscopeninja: true enough
fishandsparkles: what a freaking ordeal
kalidoscopeninja: yeah
fishandsparkles: and that guys name, its Doug Kile
kalidoscopeninja: yeah...
fishandsparkles: it feels like they didn't even give me the right name
kalidoscopeninja: why?
fishandsparkles: like they just were like she thought, "no she'll get my job!"
fishandsparkles: then the first two people she saw were doug and kyle...one thing led to another..."his name is Doug Kile"
fishandsparkles: and to screw me over more she told me to spell it with and "i" so I will look like a moron too!
kalidoscopeninja: lol...riiiight

So tonight I finally was able to submit, after I timed out of the session twice. Third time's a charm. If I don't get at least an interview I will really feel like crap. I mean I bent over backwards...but now I have 2 resumes and 1 good cover letter. Over a crazy big hump. Well, it has been quite a conclusion to the hell that was day three of Job Search '04.

Due to my incredibly high levels of stress, I cooked a very exotic meal for Mike. I made Garlic Feta stuffed Chicken basted in sweet sherry, served over a mound of rice pilaf, and topped with a sherry vinegarette full of shallots and parsley. Snow peas and scallions created a matching side and bruschetta as the appetizer. I did everything except kill the chicken...but Mike gave me a hand with the rice because I was so busy. You would have loved it, Four.
