I have spent the last couple of days in oodles of pain. Whoever says marching is not a sport needs to take it up with me. So far since winter break started which was last Friday, I have marched about 20 miles w/ a trumpet (harder than it seems my friend). Huzzah! What is this for you ask?? I willingly am in a group known as the Pasadena Tournament

"However if you really read through Rowling's stuff, its not particularly that great. Its just another children's series with the same repetitive plot every book. Her world is amazing, but definitely not the greatest literature around." Whoa, that's EXACTLY how I feel about her writing! I don't understand how people can't realize how...well, unoriginal her plots are. Yeah, I give her points on creativity for the world, and she has a way with foreshadowing, but the writing itself...leaves something to be desired.
Hey, by the by, I'm gonna be sending out my Christmas stuff soon and I haven't gotten your address yet since you haven't been on messenger much. Can you e-mail me your address at behindaveneer@yahoo.com? Thanks! ^_^

Oh, God, do I agree with you. I'm sorry for not checking around sooner, but I've been busy with college apps and just sent a batch out, so I'll be free for two more days before I head back into doing it. COLLEGE APPS SUCK.
JKR isn't great literature. She just came up with an amazing formula that everyone wants to read and be immersed in. She has a great eye for detail, but that's it. I reccomend Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy above Harry Potter - the first book, Assassin's Apprentice got me hooked. Beautiful everything.
Anyway, a belated Merry Christmas to you! One of my best friends is in a marching band, and I've heard her talk about it enough, so I feel for you.
Cheers for the New Year!
