I really liked this! I don't know a lot about Star Trek (I know, I'm sorry:), but it was very very interesting and emotional. One tiny question: if Kris was engaged when Adam found him, how is it possible that Kris's love for the woman, didn't interfere with the bonding? Just like Spock's love for Nyota...

Thank you :) Not everyone can be a Trekkie ;D

The most significant reason is that Kris had a choice and Spock didn't. So whereas Kris gave consent, Spock didn't and so Adam knew Kris had made an informed decision and Jim knew Spock hadn't so any lingering feelings would trigger compassion in Adam, but horror in Jim.

This was fabulous! I normally don't touch anything relating even tangentially to band/rocker fic because it's a very rare day that I read RPF. However, this fell into the RPF-AU category, which I'm much more comfortable with, and then of course there was the Kirk/Spock/Uhura tag, which was just too tempting to pass up. I really enjoyed this whole thing, it was a fun and interesting take on the forced bonding trope. When that alert at the station went off, I could see the end result coming and I'm glad the Admiralty got a firm scolding for it. And they call Kirk the reckless one! I also think the Sonarian culture was a very clever way to work Adam/Kris in, and make them still ring of their actual (from what I know of them) character so they're not just similar names on completely different people. Very much enjoyed, thank you!

Thank you :)

I enjoy a good RPF AU too, they can be a lot of fun. It's funny, I'm not usually into AUs for FPF that take characters out of their own environment, but I love it with real people ::g::.

Wasn't overly subtle about the simulation was I? ;)

So pleased you enjoyed it, thank you for the lovely comment.
