Um, going to put it out there - I had never heard of Tokio Hotel before you and other people on LJ started mentioning them. Until a few days ago, when I watched one of their videos for the first time, I thought the lead guy was a girl...
Are they really big in the US?
Like I said - they're not really on the radar in Ozland, and I'm just curious as they seem to have some magic that makes fans LOVE them completely.

They're not doing badly in the US, but they're huge in Europe. The US takeover is still going on ::g:: and I think they're planning on taking over the rest of the world in 2010 - LOL.
TH seem to either produce love or hate, often both as irrational. They are a genuinely nice group of young men and they seem to be able to connect with their fans. Of course it also helps that they are very pretty to look at.
The lead singer is Bill, the lead guitarist (dreads or cornrows) is Tom (Bill identical twin), the bassist (long, lovely hair) is Georg and the drummer is Gustav. They've been making music together since the twins were 11.
