It's so they can defend themselves against Emma when they go after Shaw! Nods! (I have said before that there totally needs to be class of "blocking telepaths in combat situations (for beginners)" to protect Charles sex life.)

Heh, I think the story I responded to with that was actually about Charles picking up all the oversexed teenagers and me commenting that it'd only get worse and worse the more students there were and that they needed to implement such a measure, esp. if there were going to be other students with telepathic abilites (hello Jean) but it works both ways really!

Teenage hormones are bad enough for those around them when no one is telepathic ... could you imagine trying to deal with that first hand ... oh boy. Definitely needs a class ;) Totally.

Hey, by any chance, is the 15-year-old girl a blind lesbian named Irene Adler?

And could maybe Raven be sent to go fall madly in love with recruit her?

I know you just needed a convenient power for your plot, but in fact the power you picked is very, very similar to the power that Irene Adler/Destiny, a comicverse character who is *canonically* Raven's lover, has (Claremont, the writer who established that, got away with it by using really archaic terms for lover, and since Irene appeared to be an old woman, it got past the censors.)

There's no movieverse version of Irene (yet), but she and Raven were so badass together in the comics, and so much in love even when Irene was like 70 or something and Raven looked to be in her thirties, that I am desperate to see her turn up in movieverse fanfic. :-) And since your plot rests on the existence of a young, female precognitive mutant... :-)

I have to admit to being completely ignorant of comic book canon - my entire knowledge comes from the movies and the cartoon series and occasionally listening to a good friend rattle on about the comics. :)

If it makes you happy to think of the girl as Irene, it is completely a possibility :D.

I am so loving your take, that the beach scene was something, that this charles here could not prevent!

So sorry, I meant to reply to this ages ago and kept getting side tracked. Thank you, you are indeed correct - that will teach me to move around scenes without reading more carefully :). I shall go and change it asap.
